Tenant Reviews for 835 S OXFORD AVE

If I was a broke college student again, I wouldn't live here. Unfortunately, I'm a broke working person with too many financial responsiblities now, so I am stuck. Good: Management can work with you on LITTLE stuff like fixing things in your home, but it seems like the building is broke (no money) because it took like 2 months for the elevator to get fixed. Most of the tenants are nice. Laundry on site (only). Bad: Units have bedbugs. Maybe not the unit you live in, but your neighbors have them, which means when you do your laundry or even walk down the hallway you may track them into your apartment. All my neighbors have them and got sick of it and left tracking all their bedbug ridden stuff to the next place. You can check bedbug registry. Gang bangers have grandfathered in leases. Every summer, they are being arrested in front of the building. There is almost never any parking. If you are from LA, you know how important parking is. There have been easily 5 different apartment personnel that I remember dealing with, so I assume with the high turn over rate, the apartment personnel is burning out from dealing with the tenants complaints. The corporation that owns this place is being sued by the people in the building. Right now at least two lawsuits are going on. Side note: 832 S oxford ave, which is under the same ownership as 835 S oxford ave, has way less issue from what I heard.

I moved her May of 2009 and have loved it. Unfortunaly Im done with school and have to move back to Australia but would definitely r4ecommened it to a friend or will move back when the opportunity comes
