This review is a long time coming. I lived in this building for 4+ years and stayed there because the rent was so cheap ($1050 for a 2 bed). However, there were SO many problems I experienced while I lived there, including: -constant leaky roof from rain (one year part of the roof in one bedroom actually FELL IN!!...and the landlord offered us NO discounted rent and took weeks to fix the hole...which was a nightmare, not to mention a serious health hazard) -mold growing in the closets and on the ceiling -cockroaches -LOUD neighbors (one woman was running a daycare from her apt) -LOTS of construction noise, leafblowers, and singing from the pentecostal "church" across Washington Blvd -electronic gate to the parking was frequently broken and left open The landlord, Jerry M., was extremely dishonest and disrespectful. He was often unresponsive to requests for repairs, took a long time to fix things, would just enter the apartment randomly rather than set a specific appointment time, and illegally kept a significant amount of our security deposit when we moved out, despite our leaving the apt in pristine condition. His employees were kind of creepy (with the exception of the sweet live in manager who maintained a cute garden in the courtyard), and it always seemed there were tons of people lurking about the building. I know the rent is cheap but I wish I'd moved a LOT earlier.
