I have lived here for about six months, and I have enjoyed living in this building because the neighbors are friendly and the shopping centers are near by. I also enjoy the friendly managers who are always concern of the needs around the building. A great place to live.

I rented at the Cherokee apartments because its near the film school I'm attenting, but its also near to some of the best night life in Los Angeles. My apartment is not very large but it has everything I need. The building has very friendly tenants, its almost like an artist community, with a very eclectic crowd, writers, performers, actors, producers, I feel right at home. The place is clean and well taken care of. They are also very pet friendly, they accepted my 55 LB. dog.

In walking distance to everything. I have a cute and cozy apartment with many amenities including a fireplace, dishwasher, stainless steel appliances and more. The managers are very helpful and responsive to any requests I make. They even helped me find a refrigerator. Lots of friendly neighbors, very quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

I rented a loft at 1225 N Cherokee Ave for a year. The pricing was great and the management was even better. They were always responsive with any issues that came up. The neighbors were all very friendly. I would certainly rent here again, and would recommend Cherokee Apartments to any of my friends. Thank you Abecassis, for making my stay at Cherokee Apts a great one!

I've been here for almost one year, and I plan to stay. Yes managers are strict, and I would't want it any other way. If you break house rules they'll let you know it, but they also provide excellent customer service and fix things immediately. It is safe and quiet, and tenants are very friendly. It's close to everything, and a great place for a quiet self employed professional.

I moved here and the manger seemed okay when we first looked at the place but as soon as you show interest he becomes a different person.. the lack of respect is unreal. He would say onething then when you confront him on it he, says I don't remember saying that. Yeah he strives on fixing issues within 3 days but he talks down to you. All I'm saying is stay away don't waste I'd money. Yeah the place looks nice but its not worth the headaches.

Bad management, slump landlord, will try to ceat you out of your deposit money...they tried to charge tenants city fees that only owner needs to pay(and they suceeded with most tenants), bad neigborhood, few cars in garage were broken in a couple of apartments were broken in during my one year lease....nobody stay at this place longer than a year and only because they need theire deposit money back ....i have seen lots of people moving out after a month or two......which i tried to but did not want to break a lease. lots of noise on the street ,especially over the weekends. catch 22 is that they will aprove people with bad credit so lots of people fall for that but today i believe there is a lot of places that will work with your bad credit. best advice stay away!!!!

I recently moved to 1225 N. Cherokee in May and I have been pleased! The manager has fixed anything minor and major within a day or 2 of me notifying him. He even hung my chandelier for a little pay and put in a new shower head I bought. When I was out of town having a friend stay because some boxes were left outside that my friend failed to bring inside, he contacted me with concern that my friend may have failed to feed my cats since the friend had left the boxes outside. The only negative I have is when I moved in the previous tenant had cats who had fleas resulting in my indoor cats getting fleas, but management reimbursed me for 1 month of flea solution. The garage does smell like cat urine, but the bldg is kept tidy and it is a quiet environment. My studio apt has large windows allowing lots of sunlight, central ac & heat & a fireplace, w/ wood floors, dishwasher & stove. It did not come with a refrigerator so I had to buy one but kind of glad b/c I was able to get one that was smaller than the usual large size. I also really like that I am able to buzz in visitors as opposed to having to physically let them in myself. It's also really great that any size dog is welcome. I'm happy to live here!

I have to say after reading the reviews I was a little skeptical to even go see these apartments, but the convenience of being walking distance from my work, I had to go. I rented a one bedroom apt. and I truly don't know why there's such bad reviews, yes the managers are strict with their rules but I wouldn't have it any other way, I found them professional, very pleasant and they went out of their way to help me (I did hear they've been there for about 6 months, maybe that's why is so different now). As a single female I do like to feel safe living in Hollywood wouldn't you? They accept pets as well, I have a Doberman and its not easy to find a place that will take him because of his size, the few apartments I did find that were pet friendly wanted me to pay rent for him also, have you ever heard of this??? I guess it's the new Hollywood trend? come on. Thank God I don't pay rent for him here. I love my place and I am walking to work these days saving a bundle in gas, plus I am in the middle of everything when it comes to my friends and entertainment. Hopping my friend Tracy moves to the building, would love to have her as my neighbor..... please Cherokee apts. if you need a referral for her I'm it, seriously. Thank you Steph

The new Managers are very professional. They really do take care of the building and the tenants. Things have changed for the better.
