This place is garbage. The residents are trash and noisy. This place has had apartment break ins, grand theft auto, arrests being made in the courtyard, homeless and drug addicts entering the building with no security on site. I've had random people walk into my apartment. It's an old run down building, the elevator and boiler constantly breakdown. We've had mailboxes broken into. They want to charge you premium price for nothing in return. Oh, the pool has been under repair for god knows how long.

STAY AWAY! Thomas Yu and May Ling Yu bought the building and it is now UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS. There are broken doors to the property and it has become a safe haven for homeless to sleep in our conference room, pool area, and lounge areas. There is no longer any maintenance service, security, front office person, a working email address, or phone number. The building has gotten progressively worse over the last 6 months and shows no signs of improving.

I lived here for almost a year. The location was great except that my apartment happened to be right next to the neighboring buildings driveway and gate. So there was constant honking and I had to keep the windows closed almost constantly. Overall I gave it high reviews because it is a very well taken care of building. Everything is clean and modern. There is always someone in the front desk to handle concerns or noise complaints. I would give it 5stars for convenience of moving in and moving out. I filled everything out online and paid the deposit and had the apartment within 24hrs. Having everything online (bill pay, maintenance requests) is very convenient for me. I had one issue with an outlet and it was fixed the next day. I'm not sure about the person whose car was broken into. I was there during that time and I never felt unsafe. The building was well secured. Many times I left things unlocked including leaving my keys in the door because I forgot and there was never any problems. I also online shop a lot and packages were constantly left outside of my door and I was never concerned. All of the neighbors I interacted with were all kind and courteous. Again if it hadn't been for the building next door I would probably still be living there. It had a nice ambiance.

UNETHICAL MANAGEMENT AND SAFETY ALERT!!!!! I moved into this building in Sept 2015. Since moving in my vehicle was broken into in the building parking garage as well as another tenants vehicle stolen. When I made Prometheus management aware of the break in they lied to me. They acted if they were unaware of the break in when in fact they were already aware of the stolen vehicle. A short while later I had packages stolen from the lobby. And recently my apartment had unlawful entry. These are all isolated incidents. I was not singled out or targeted on a personal level. I would not recommend anyone to rent from this management company. They will do anything, say anything to look out for themselves even if it puts the tenants safety in jeopardy. Prometheus management has gone as far as to come to me as if I have done something wrong. Please be aware when dealing with them, they cannot be trusted to tell the truth or do the right thing.

After a year of dealing with the new manager ------------'s incompetence and bad mannered attitude, I've decided to write a review. ------------ IS POMPOUS, LAZY, UNHELPFUL, UNCARING AND HATES HIS JOB AND THE TENANTS THAT LIVE HERE. Prometheus promises top-notch customer service when one rents here and since the rent is so pricey, we tenants should be met with the best customer service possible. In reality we are met with zero customer service - and this is all due to -----'s poor performance as a "manager." First of all, he's rarely ever here and when he is, his door is closed with the shades drawn. Furthermore, on the rare occasion he's present, he doesn't help with anything - he is not even capable of collecting the tenants' packages and delivering to them properly. Honestly, if I ever need something I go to -----, the maintenance manager, and ask him, which if it wasn't for him I probably would have left a long time ago. Overall, I've enjoyed living here for the 5 years up until ----- arrived. Since then, it's been a nightmare. I agree with all the negative remarks that were left on this site about him and quite frankly I'm shocked that despite the negative feedback about him, Prometheus has chosen to keep him employed here. So, this place is nice but it has become an UNHAPPY living situation for many of us tenants because of the manager, -----. Which is unfortunate as many good tenants have moved out because of him. Prometheus please help/fix this.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PROPERTY OR COMPANY (Prometheus). I lived here for two years, fulfilled the terms of the lease, and even endured being moved out twice for renovations and tenting. I never was late on rent and when I left I cleaned and left the property undamaged. Ever since I left, the property has been trying to extort over $700 dollars from me for time I did not live in the unit. They were fully aware of my departure and the manager even told me when I informed her I was leaving that they were immediately placing my unit on the market and that if I could not find another place, I may have to move anyway. She called me about 5 days before I was moving and said that I never told her I was leaving. I am a professional who takes care of her bills and manages her credit. I would never leave anywhere on such terms and I am baffled at their attempts to collect rent after I have left when they never returned the balance of my deposit. Currently they are paying a collection agency to attempt to collect this false debt. At this point I am going to have to obtain legal counsel to get the harassment to stop. Worst apartment experience in Los Angeles to date.

My daughter is presently living at Franklin Plaza with a couple of roommates. While visiting recently, I encountered friendly and helpful staff, an immaculate building, quick response to maintenance issues, and a beautiful kitchen with wonderful appliances. My guess is that the negative reviews on this site were written before the renovations were completed.

This place constantly smells of pot, and management fully supports it. We have been trying for four months to have them do something, and they fully support pot smoking and loud music. If you are any kind of professional who is looking for a healthy place to live, where you can get sleep and are not kept up by loud club music, I would not come near this place

This is the worst community I have ever been to in my life.....beware!!!! I would not recommend anyone to pay even $500 a month for a unit here let alone $2100. From the front desk all the way to upper management, nothing but a bunch of theives......Did I mention the place is filled with Asbestos???? That's right asbestos. Do yourself a favor and do not get suckered into this place.....thee gym is nasty, pool doesnt get sun, business center blows. GARBAGE is the best way to describe this complex.
