We've lived at Palm Court for nearly three years. This is our home. We love it here. All of the staff--office, maintenance, & security-- are dedicated, kind, and helpful. The apartment is beautiful. Grocery stores, pharmacies, post office, banks are all within a few blocks. Central location between downtown and the ocean makes everything in LA less than 45 minutes away (even in traffic). The past few years, there has been much construction in the neighborhood, but that has concluded now and it's much quieter. There were some break-ins the first month we lived here, but it was related to a tenant's revengeful ex. For the past two and a half years, there have been no security issues. The pool and exercise room are great. The rent rate is great for LA. I would recommend Palm Court to anyone looking to move to or within LA.

I saw about a dozen places before I finally found this little gem in the city. It seems a nice apartment, at a reasonable price, is hard to come by in this town which is why I knew, right away, that Palm Court Apartments was a steal. What initially drew me in was the: well-kept grounds, secure parking, nice amenities, great apartment layout (especially if you're sharing with a roommate), central location, and professional management. I moved in, in 2009, and I ve really come to appreciate all this place has to offer. The neighbors are mostly 30-something, business professionals and the complex is always well-maintained by the attentive, and friendly, on-site management team (Sylvia and Martin). I'm not one to recommend, let alone post online, unless I really believe in something so this is a 1st for me. I'd definitely recommend Palm Court Apartments if you're looking for a nice place to call home in L.A. Oh...and they offer 1 month's rent off your 1-year lease - bringing the cost down to an even more affordable price. So don't forget to ask for that deal! Good luck on your search :)

i was doing some research regarding diff apartments in LA & came across this site. i live at the palm court apartments & thought i'd add my two cents. the tenants are mostly professionals & some students. it's generally quiet within the complex. the neighborhood is safe & pretty central to everything. the grocery store is a few blocks away, hollywood video is right next door, & there are quite a few restaurants & bars in the area. it's close to the grove which is a huge plus! but u probably won't want to walk there as it's not that close. it's doable though. i've done it a few times. it's a good, safe neighborhood. the gym is small but decent. same goes for the pool. all in all, i'd definitely recommend palm court apartments. it's not the most luxurious but it's a good place to live. parking & safety - there is assigned parking so it's pretty convenient. however, it is not very secure. look, let's be honest here. i live here & am content here. HOWEVER, the security guard is oftentimes not at his post AND i've seen him (or them cuz the security guard has changed a few times) sleeping quite a few times. This is not to say that I feel unsafe at home. The area is rather safe so I've personally had no problems. But I have heard of several thefts, mostly in the parking lot. let's be realistic guys... unless there is a security guard at all entrances, it's pretty difficult to prevent people from walking in when someone enters w/ a key in front of them or to simply follow a car into the garage. i'm guessing this would apply to most apts. so if ur that worried about security, then i recommend you live in a safe neighborhood. i'd say palm court is pretty safe. also, it's rather easy to find street parking in the neighborhood when you have guests. noise - it's rather peaceful. BUT there is construction next door which can get pretty loud during the day. they're building another apartment complex. if you live on the north or west side of the building, you will hear construction noise M-F from about 7:30am - 2:00pmish. grounds - generally, palm court is a nice place to live. the grounds are well-kept and relatively clean. you'll find some trash from time to time in front of the elevators. some of the tenants are too lazy to take their fast food trash up to their own trash bins. the manager & the maintenance man are super nice & friendly. they really do try to keep the place well maintained. however, if u need something done quickly, i recommend telling sylvia in person. she doesn't always check her voicemail on time. if u've never lived in LA before & are looking for a place to live, this is a safe bet. :-)

I have not lived there a year and my place was already burglarized in broad daylight (2pm to be exact it is all on camera). A previous break in happened the week prior and none of the tenants were notified or even warned. With in the last 6 days there have been 3 robberies. No one wants to take responsibility even though they claim it is a safe building. The Robbers are familiar with the building they know the'y're way around, you can see them walking around and hoping the fence on the building supposedly "security" cameras. I really want to get out of my lease but the owner of the building is not cooperating nor is she sympathetic. This has been such a horrible experience I do not recommend this building to anyone, it is NOT safe.

Excellent housing in a fantastic location, the Miracle Mile, off of Wilshire. Spacious, bright dual master style and one-bedroom apartments. Aparment was in top notch condition with new carpeting and new appliances, ample closet space. The building has a modern fitness room, sauna, outdoor pool/jacuzzi, rooftop patio, courtyard, modern elevators and laundary rooms. Very secure and spacious underground parking. Ample free parking on nearby streets for visitors. No pets. 24-hr grocery, retail stores, restaurants, pubs, LACMA, LA Fitness, Tarpits with in a couple of blocks. 15 minute walk or 5 min drive to The Grove. Less than 10 mins drive to Beverly Hills. 20 mins to Westwood/UCLA. 15 min drive to Downtown. Water and waste are included in rent. Plus, friendly, courteous and responsible property manager and maintenance manager, who live on site and an overnight security guard. All this at a reasonable rental rate by LA standards. I had to leave LA for a new job, otherwise I would still live here. This place is a steal!

When looking for apartments, I was looking mostly north of Wilshire-- I'm so thankful I looked just one block south and found Palm Court. Great amenities, and comparable prices to other residences with such in the area BUT, the bedrooms are much larger. Vaulted ceilings on 4th floor, thick enough walls (I lived in WeHo before and neighbor noise was disasterous. Here I only have had one problem ever). A little hum from the courtyard pool on the weekends, but not bad. Just make sure you're not next to the laundry and you're fine. No guest parking, per say, but if you need an extra parking spot long term, for a fee, one is usually available. Also, street parking for guests is much easier on this side of Wilshire than the other. The only trouble is when El Ray has shows (then I can usually find 2 blocks away).

I just moved out to Los Angeles for a new job and was initially a bit intimidated by the whole city. I wanted an apartment that I felt safe in and when I found Palm Court, I immediately knew that this was it. Rent is affordable and the manager is very friendly. There is a security guard at night and the amenities (roof top lounge, sauna, workout facility, pool)is what makes this apartment complex stand out. This is one of the best apts in Miracle Mile.

I am just moving out of Palm Court (because my roommate is getting married, so we're going our seperate ways - not because I don't like the place!). Anyway, in my research on my NEW place, I came across this website and thought I should offer a review.

Palm Court is a really lovely place to live. Very well-maintained by the manager, Sylvia (she's been there for many years, which says a lot), and the maintenance man, Martin (lives in the building too, with his adorable family). They are constantly fixing things up - a new paint job on the exterior of the building last year, remodeled elevators, new workout room equipment, etc. And whenever I had a problem (rarely) with a toilet or sink or whatever, the repair was done very expeditiously.

The tenents tend to be professionals, with some students and families. Generally all decent people - though some people leave trash in the elevator vestibules. Oh well - not everyone is respectful! Overall, it is also a pretty quiet building; I rarely hear my neighbors.

The pool and grounds are also all very nice. I think it is a good deal for the money - great area, parking, laundry, nice amenities, etc. Highly recommend!
