I have been living here for a year now and I am very happy. The manager is very good and helpful. Well-organized and charming building. Some equipments are kind of old (Oven /Gas /Plumbing) but it is the same everywhere in that range of prices. The maintenance is overall good, even though I have a sink problem not fixed for months. The Handyman came but didn't find the source of the problem...He told me they would call a plumber, I am still waiting... No problem with the other tenants who are quiet and respectful. The only thing I don't like here has nothing to do with the building. It is the Korean Church just adjacent to the building. If you live on the North side (like I do), you may be often disturbed by noisy in-and-out car movements, children's shouts or other unpleasant things (especially on Sundays, of course, when several dozens of people eat right under the windows...)

Well ... What can I say but a great value and well run bldg. This is by far is the prettiest bldg around! Quiet and serene setting in a dynamic urban environment. I've lived all around LA and find this location ideal ... I can actually ride my bike to work, walk to Starbucks and dream big at the BMW showroom on the corner. WeLl organized mgt-owners. My cat and I are happy to have found a quiet community like this! Thanks guys! J

I just moved in about 6 months ago and really like it here. Mgt and neighbors are great. I like the christian center next door and it takes me 10 minutes to walk to my offfice down Wilshire blvd. at this writing mgt is painting hallways and building a cool outdoor space with deck, BBQ and great landscaping (I am told will be all complete in about a week or so). Look, for the location, style and value I don't think I could have gone wrong

Unless you belong to a cult, you certainly don't wanna live next to one or in the same building with it's members. This building has a history of being a flop house and still is to this very day. The manager has entered my apartment several times without notice, so has the illegal maintenance man. The manager as snooped in my personal belongings, even moved things. He has his family members and friends moved into this building. They're by all means noisy drug addicts who'll disturb the peace and muck up the place and threaten you if you complain. They don't get thrown out, even if they don't pay the rent. Also,if one gets thrown out, they'll just move in with the ones that haven't been thrown out. Noise, like you wouldn't believe. Smells like you would'nt believe. Creepy neighborhood. I've assessed this neighborhood was once low income housing and there's alot of mentally handicaped sociopaths and psychopaths in this neighborhood (B.S.Psychology Degreed Reviewer here). If you move here thinking your getting a deal, well, your not. Stalkers, people who walk dogs off leash, lots of homeless people. Homeless people in the building at night, early morning. No security. Someone keeps breaking the front door, and it's suspiciously on Sunday, when the cult has their service, you see, they have an apartment in the building. Wherein they bring tons of people, who don't live there in and out in crowds. They'll be standing on the porch, or in the yard, or in the hallway. They have a paramilitary "security" group that polices the building and the surrounding streets. If you're a woman, you may not appreciate having to walk through a bunch of "security" guys who insist on opening the door for you, who'll be super close. Wow, I could go on and on. No one cares about this building. You can complain, they owner lets things happen. You have to go to the police and beg for help. City council, the "church" has a seat on the local city council, so there's a lot of collusion going on. If you are a professional or a student or generally an upstanding person, this is NOT the place for you. You can expect to be stalked, attacked, harassed and slandered, if you complain.
