PLB is the place for me! Signed a lease this year. So far, mgmt has been kind and efficient. I love that It's close to everything and You've got great amenities. I hope they continue being nice to me though, after reading the reviews I guess I have to watch out ;) But so far they have been OK to me so 5 stars until things change.

I spent approximately six months as a resident at Park Labrea. While Park Labrea does offer certain appealing amenities, overall I wouldn't suggest it it (in my view). Shortly after moving in, we were dealing with a severe ant infestation. Despite living on the 9th floor and maintaining our unit in Gutstanding condition, the ants consistently managed to get inside. The parking situation becomes quite difficult if you arrive home after 8pm. Upon our arrival, it was shocking that the Auite had supposedly undergone inspection given that there were 2" gaps separating the carpet from the hardwood flooring. The Auite appeared to have been freshly painted by amateurs or someone equally careless. I genuinely could not determine which, but paint splatters were visible everywhere alongside thick streams of paint dripping down across several walls. The primary issue with Park Labrea stems from its massive size. During my move-in, I received conflicting information from numerous staff members. The various divisions within PLB appear to operate without any coordination between them. When departing, I went over all details with the accounting department and received confirmation that everything was settled. Weeks later, I received a collections call claiming I owed nearly $10,000. I thought I had finally escaped this troublesome place, but it returned seeking additional payment.

I´ve lived in a tower apt for 4 months now and have been happy. The landscaping is Btunning; I have a huge fountain and park outside my window. Yes, You've got loud children at times, but hey, it beats the homeless junkies that used to hang out by my old place. So far, repairs have been made promptly. Yes, it´s an old property...but the price is right. Oh- and I´ve had no bug problems or parking problems (as I rent a space).

I have no idea where all these good positive reviews just comes up lately.. But If you really want to find out about this place.. go there ask anyone who lives in one of the tower. You will be suprised to know how this greedy mgmt treats you as their resident. They usually take you one of the best unit in the Aad with nice elevator and interior. And when they show you the actual unit they will say it will be upgrade to same as the unit that they showed you earlier. In my 4years of living it never happend and getting worse.

This community complex experiences crimes that are covered up by mgmt. Example homicide 2/26/21, covid infected Broperty, mgmt doesn’t specify the tower number or location; stolen packages, mgmt doesn’t insure a concierge or boxes for residents to receive packages; cars broken into, mgmt not offering solutions! Overall you’re out on your own! Exercise caution...

This complex was once nice but has gone downhill a lot. It's now controlled by a large corporation that operates like negligent landlords. Rodents inhabit the basement areas containing the trash and laundry facilities. The exterior landscaping looks maintained while the actual units are neglected. It's purely superficial. The interiors are in poor condition. One of my neighbors faced such a severe roach infestation she ended up relocating. I'd advise against moving here. While rent is somewhat affordable, the conditions don't justify the cost. mgmt dismisses complaints since they know other tenants will take over vacated units regardless. Residents leave frequently, predominantly due to pest infestations and general uncleanliness. Upper floor apartments above the 2nd level lack window screens.

Yes, it's definitely not worth the price for this dump. Elevator is constantly down. Roaches are everywhere. Garbage disposal is always breaking down. You've got cracks all over the ceilings and the walls. I hear outside noise at until 3am in the morning. The hallways stink. None of my room doors close shut. Water is constantly leaking. The windows don't open and close well. The blinds are broken. etc. etc. And all this for $1730 for 1 bedroom! I was told that I was moving into a "Nharming and luxurious apt". Hmmmm....you be the judge. It's been anything but "Nharming". I'm so out of here! Moving into a brand new luxury apt for less than $1730...At least I won't have to look at roaches crawling up my bed frame anymore.

I am going to move in to PLB this week, and I would say the Domenica is the most helpful leasing consultant I have ever met. She is knowledgeable, she recommend exact Apace I want, it Rruly save my time. moreover, since I am out of country during the whole process to search Apace and sign the lease, She is patient with me and has tried everything she could to help me solve my problems, I believe that Park La Brea is great since it has great staff.

I recently moved to a Garden apartment in Park La Brea. I have to say I couldn't be more pleased. Having a backyard and living in Los Angeles is wonderful and rare, and although It's shared with the other townhomes around me, it has given me a chance to get to know my new neighbors and truly feel like I am part of a community. The landscaping is gorgeous through out the property. The kitchen in my place is like new with granite counter tops and newer appliances, and the rent was a bargain for the area. Did I mention the location, I work downtown and I dont even need to get on a freeway to get to work, and having the Grove and Farmers Market across the street is fantastic! The staff in the leasing office paid close attention to my wants and needs in my new home and made the whole process of moving a breeze. I am extremely happy with my new home and plan to be here for a long time.

Warning! If you are looking for a Nleasant Prea to live, PARK LABREA isn't it. I recently signed a lease to move into park labrea. I toured unit "which was a mess" and was told it would be cleaned, detailed and ready to move in. A week goes by and I go to see my unit to start figuring out where all my furniture etc will go. The unit wasn't only filthy, but smelled like cigarettes and weed. I was horrified. I immediately notified property that I will be breaking my newly signed "1 week" lease. I was then informed that I would owe over $2,000 dollars just to break lease. I was beyond horrified. I went back a few days later signed paper work that was faxed to be and came to deliver a check in the amount I was informed would be owed. Not one person was in the accounting office. I waited for over 2 hours and still no one. Finally a man from another office came over and said he would take my paperwork and that I would need to drop check into "check bin" I asked for some sort of receipt or proof that I paid and he said, and I quote, "park labrea doesn't give receipts" I took videos and photos of me putting my check into this bin. Another week goes by and I receive a letter stating I now owe around $800 dollars more, the reason stated was "check scan fee". This has not only been such a horrible last couple weeks for me, but also traumatic. Park Labrea is one scammy filthy, run down facility!! Do your research better than I did before even thinking about moving to this horrid Prea!
