This place is TERRIBLE!! It used to be fine, but the new management - DSPG Management - couldn’t care less about their tenants! The building STINKS constantly because they don’t take care of the garbage. The hallway rugs are always nasty because they clean it once in never. They let our apartment FLOOD 4 TIMES over two days instead of shutting the pipeline and making sure it was fixed!! THEY DID NOT PAY FOR DAMAGES (which I will have to sue for)!! I told them we had MOLD in our bathroom and that we’re having PLANTS GROW IN FROM THE CEILING! Two years later they fixed a leak in the wall when a neighbor left. We had MOLD in our A/C unit and they said “It’s not the kind of mold that is harmful”. COCKROACHES come in through the bathroom air vent - they never sealed it. There are MICE all over the complex. There’s a tenant who HARASSES WOMEN, which they did nothing about - We had to call the police several times to get him to stop. We had NO REFRIGERATOR for 6 WEEKS while we waited for a replacement part - they didn’t get us a temporary small one - Nothing! They said “We can either get you a new one that’s not as good as your previous one or you can wait for parts”. They started to AIRBNB a year or two ago which basically turned the place into a youth hostel. People SMOKING inside and outside the apartments. NOISE all day and night. There are BREAK-INS into the garage regularly. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets fall a part because they are built like S#!t. The sliding mirrors squeak because they are built like S#!t. The doors are from 1897 with chipped paint everywhere - they never paint. The lobby gets broken into and PACKAGES get STOLEN all the time. There are abandoned cars in the garage. There are two managers - One talks nicely and smiles at you, the other is RUDE - but they BOTH COULDN’T CARE LESS! We asked for DSPG Management’s info multiple times and never got it. DO NOT LIVE HERE!! DISGUSTING!!

Terrible experience living here. Multiple crimes have occurred from multiple residents on the location premise, Huge homeless community in the area that hang on the premise, which is very dangerous. Found many weapons lying around such a switch blades. Traffic & The garbage disposing is a headache every morning, 2 x a day, 7days x week, haven't been able to sleep in since I've moved to this building not to mention homeless population sorting thru our trash and recycles each day, leaving us completely vulnerable and exposed. Packages are being stolen in which many visitors have attempted to break thru the security door. So much theft activity specifically in the garage, and unfortunately the owner will not replace what was stolen even if the evidence was taken to the police themselves, will not improve security on premise. Capitalism at its finest. Although the neighborhood is a beautiful stroll but what area isn't in LA. Skip to Corona Virus the owner has not extended any hands to tenants whom lost their jobs, sick etc.although many have asked. I would pay more for a piece of mind and a company that actually cares. Avoid this place trust you'll save insurance claims, energy and money.

This building has been under construction for 5 months or more. The city actually shut down construction because they did not obtain permits and were disturbing tenants, etc. The new owners illegally raised the rent on tenants in spite of being in REAP (Rent Escrow Account Program) which was due to the city citing them for SUBSTANDARD living conditions. The trash has been utterly ignored many times, which means that you can barely open the door to the trash on the first floor because the entire room is over flowing with trash. If you go to the second floor you will find that the trash is full past the second floor and overflowing. The construction workers park in tenants parking spots and refuse to move. The plumbing and construction teams have been doing construction inside of apartments leaving walls with holes in them and taping paper over them for long periods of time. Fellow tenants have complained about all of their belongings being moved into the center of the room and just left there. There are new notices on the door practically every day. They love putting a notices on doors after 7PM to notify you that they are giving you 24 hour notice to enter your apartment at 8AM the following day (which is actually 13 hour notice, and if you don't open your door between 7PM and 8AM you don't know you have someone about to enter your apartment first thing in the morning.) They need to enter one day to replace a toilet, the next day to paint the balcony, the next day for plumbing, they need to replace the sliding glass door. They won't show up when they are supposed to, will show up when they aren't supposed to, and will ignore any note on the door telling them not to enter. If you lived here and you asked management for anything, you could NEVER ever expect a return call or email response. They don't care and they ignore everything and everyone. The owners provided the tenants with habitability construction plans filed with the city. They are out of compliance with these plans and have already extended construction plans AGAIN. THEY DO CONSTRUCTION MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY from 8 AM and as late as 8PM (ILLEGALLY). The noise in the hallways as well as the jackhammering of concrete, plumbing, non-stop hallway renovation, etc. is invasive and there is no escape. This building is supposed to be secure, however, the construction team is here for hours every day and leave the garage door open, the building open, the stairs open, and the front door open to the building. Many times when I come hope later in the evening the front door and stairway have been propped open and remain open late into the evening (if they ever are closed). They shut the water off all the time with no warning. We have severe plumbing problems, including sewage coming up from the drain in the floor in the laundry room. Tenants have complained about their sinks having a backlog of black sludge. Hot water is turned off with no warning. The laundry card machine keeps breaking and the management will not let you know when it is fixed no matter how many times you ask. There is constant dust, debris, noise, interruptions. Tenants car tires have been flattened by stray nails. Be advised that many cars have been broken into in this building - the thieves stole the garage door openers and now have easy access to the garage and inside of the complex anytime they would like because nothing has been done to re-calibrate the openers. Not that it matters since the doors are always wide open anyway. I'm sure there is much more I am forgetting. Currently, there are several apartments being renovated for new tenants. New tenants, beware - they will tell you nothing but lies. Once you sign a lease, they don't care about you at all.

Previously I had written that I would recommend living here, I gave a nice review that I am now amending. I've been here for several years. I really liked out last manager. I had no real complaints (other than not doing anything about car break-ins). Also, the plumbing is bad, and the electrical is awful, if you try to plug into some of the outlets the cord will literally fall out of the wall. The building was taken over by a new owner and many of us are not happy. I actually spend a great deal of time daydreaming about leaving, and even driving around just to not come home to the construction. Next door to my apartment they did renovations on the wall next to my bed for over 4 weeks (plumbing, tiling, flooring, replacing the tub, etc.) Monday through Saturday sawing, pounding, drilling, scraping, etc. They have also been renovating the hallway, which meant that a lot of the time they were doing construction behind my head as well. (They are currently - on a Saturday - doing construction behind my head in the hallway). Although I have already endured months of construction, they have yet to do the renovation in my apartment, which means I still get to look forward to them putting holes in my walls, being in my apartment for days, leaving a mess, and I've heard from others that they have come home and their door was left wide open with no one inside. I already planned to be here for the last scheduled construction in my apartment, they rescheduled. I am no longer happy living here and I am updating my previous 4 star rating to 1 star. It is that bad. I clicked on "Washer/Dryer connections in unit" and it won't let me unclick it. I don't believe we have any units with connections, but I could be wrong.

I have lived here for five months and have had nothing but problems. The renovations completed in my apartment were all done poorly and have taken up a lot of my time and money to be fixed properly. One of my electrical outlets caught fire and there are others that short or just plain do not work. The tile is crooked as are all the sliding closet doors, which do not fit flush with the wall. I was promised a bunch of things like covered parking and amenities before signing my lease, which were never followed through with. If you are willing to pay such a high rent, I would recommend going to a different property. The security is off no help either, as there was an incident not too long ago where a group of cars in the underground parking were vandalized! The property managers do their best to avoid listening to your problems and will not get back to you unless you call them persistently. This of course does not mean that your issues will be solved.
