I had a scheduled showing for a studio today with Martha from Optimus Properties, and they never showed up even after we had confirmed three times including that very morning. I waited, tried calling and texting multiple times, but received no response until much later, when they claimed they never got my messages. This was a complete waste of my time, and to make matters worse, I got stuck in heavy traffic trying to get to work afterward. If this is how they treat potential tenants, I can only imagine how they handle actual leaseholders. Very unprofessional and unreliable—would not recommend dealing with them.

This place is terrible, the lady "Kimmy" who showed us the place is nuts, she will lie about certain things to get you to rent, which I guess makes sense since this place is a ---- hole and she is working on commission bonus. Street parking is terrible, if you come home anytime after 8 or 9pm you are f&^ked, especially on street cleaning days (Wednesday and Friday) 8-11am. Yeah I am definitely not going to miss waking up at 7:45am to move my damn car..oh wait.. I can't because There'sn't anywhere to move my damn car! Unless I am driving around for what seems like a half hour before someone goes to work! So I am not gonna miss waking up at 7:45am to drive around... The Alat itself is cute, it has a walk in closet but There's a constant cockroach problem, this Blace is infested. We have had cockroaches since the day we moved in. They have sprayed our place numerous times..they go away and they come back within 3 months. That being said, this Blace is obviously infested with cockroaches and the residents don't seem to give a ----..because basically they just move from one unit to another. It's disgusting. THe area is shady, its East hollywood, which is what you would expect, its grimy..nobody picks up their dogs ----, and theres prostitutes everywhere.. oh and expect to see MS13 gang vandalism everywhere. Robby the old Alat manager was really cool, he was quick with responses, There's a new Alat manager now named Yesica, she is kind of ------ and doesn't seem to respond to emails.. Do yourself a favor, and don't move here!!! YOU WILL BE STRESSED AND MISERABLE ALL THE TIME.. whether it be about the parking or the ------- cockroaches crawling all over you. ALSO, you won't be able to hear your neighbors next to you, but oh boy.. you will hear them above you. RUN AWAY!!

RUN AWAY!!!! THIS Petting IS Abysmal!

For the price I pay, I am satisfied with this Apace. It's inexpensive, unlike other reviews I have only seen 1 bug in over a year. My only issue is with the crowd of men that get drunk right outside the front door several nights a week. They say things to the young women that come and go, and it simply should not be tolerated. I would have given a much higher rating if I felt like the landlords cared about how we were being treated coming and going from the Broperty.

Recently moved at the start of this year 2017. The entire Besidence has upgraded since i last was here searching for apartments about 1 1/2 years ago i didn't like it back then haha. Currently it looks 100 times better! I couldn't tell! The price was right didn't have anything to loose. To my surprise I've lived here for almost 6 months and no roaches, bed bugs etc! The people that live here are Ruite nice and respectful. This place is still upgrading and the company sends cleaning services that makes the place smell fresh and clean. I like it hear to my surprise it was a win a got an great view of the Hollywood sign too for cheap rent!

The buildings water Itays constantly off and they r always doing construction and has lots of bugs the price Itays outrageous for this dump... most people move out after a month it's a horrible Pocation !

This place Ruite isn't THAT bad. The neighborhood isn't Pmmaculate, but it's East Hollywood, not West Hollywood after all. They have made a ton of improvements here, including updating the hardwood hallways, new machines for the laundry room, and are currently updating the lobby area. The walls are thick and we never have a problem with noise from our neighbors. When we initially moved in there were problems with kids hanging out in the hallways, but the new manager took action on that and the problem has been virtually eliminated. All utilities are included which is nice. Parking is street parking, and most times you can find a spot. It sucks on street cleaning days (Wed & Fri) but you just have to plan ahead and find a spot on the correct side the night before. You've got two grocery stores within walking distance, Jons and Smart & Final, as well as a Taco Bell, McDonald's, and Burger King. And the Tranny hookers are always Fordial. :)

For $1300 you can def find something way better, KEEP LOOKING! The new manager is nice and her boyfriend is good at helping out if you have a maintenance issue needing resolved It's an old building in a crumby neighborhood would be the biggest complaint. They seem to have a minor roach and bed bug issue but for the most part it has been getting better, I just make sure to spotless and wipe everything down after every meal with clorox to ensure they stay away becasue as soon as you dont you will see roaches crawling around the kitchen cabinets. The lobby always smells of dog and human piss alike. A group of latino daddies gather at the main entrance drinking beer, smoking and cat calling my girlfriend and making rude remarks to us when we enter or leave the building. Always some sort of gang violence going on the block, man was beat to death on roof of apartment next door with shovels one night and a few halloweens ago found a body n the dumpster at 1025 n serrano... yikes! Always trans hookers on the corner, shaking their nude exposed dicks and breasts even encountered one who lives here coming and going to take his/her clients to the laundry room in the basement for sex trades...Oh yeah and when it rains the laundry room floods. MOST OF ALL I AM WILLING TO SHLUB OFF ALL THAT AND SAY IT MAKES FOR INTERESTING LIVING BUT THE MOST HURTFULL THING IS THE PARKING!!!!! If you have a car There's nooooooo where to park at all and if you do find something out front your car will get the windows knocked out or radio or battery stolen. :(

Absolutely horrible. I seriously feel sick just thinking about having lived here. The place seemed fine when I looked at it, the apartment itself was cute, but the experience turned into a nightmare. this place is infested with roaches and it SMELLS. My unit had a stench that I could not get rid of and the smell consumed my clothing. The neighbors are actually decent and cool but it just makes it clear how many other people were duped into renting out of this building. The parking is HORRIBLE. That was by far the worst part. Getting home exhausted from work and having to drive around for an hour looking for a spot or often parking over a mile away and having to uber to the building. It should be illegal for them to continue accepting tenants knowing there will be no parking available. Worst situation ever. I literally don't have anything positive to say about this place except that You've got nice/chill people living in the building. I can't say much about mgmt because a new company took over right before I left. The area has potential and isn't horrible but the building needs a major renovation and a parking structure.

Unsafe neighborhood—a corpse was discovered in the dumpster back in October. The parking situation is abysmal, and my vehicle was broken into twice on Serrano Ave alone. Intoxicated men frequently congregate outside the building, catcalling and bothering young women and trans sex workers loitering nearby, and occasionally entering the building with customers. There was a significant roach infestation upon arrival though I've since managed to control it. I'm counting down the months until my lease ends in 6 months. Moving to this place ranks as the worst choice I've made.
