I was thinking about renting here as one of my friends live here I decided to start paying them some visits to see how the building was and I'm glad I did. It's a very noisy building there is one neighbor who plays music every single Saturday from 10 or 11 in the morning until 9:30 or 10 at night the manager does nothing about this problem even though it's been brought to her attention. There are people hanging around outside all the time smoking cigarettes and smoking marijuana the neighborhood is very seedy and with hits everywhere doing drug deals the building and surrounding areas are very unkempt and dirty this used to be a nice neighborhood at one time but now it's trashy and turning ------ such a shame if you're looking for a nice apartment in a nice building in a nice area look somewhere else this is not ia lot of homeless transients hanging around all hours. they have they have an arsonist in the neighborhood who's been setting fires for the past 2 months off and on up and down the block. Also there is a continuous bed bug problem. Look elsewhere!!!

Hello, I have been the manager now for over 7 years and I just noticed this site to review apartments. Great idea! However please don t confuse Eagle Rock Apartments with the other apartment building one block over. For some reason they have my phone number associated with the incorrect address. I have noticed several comments in regards to my building but none of the complaints match any that I have ever gotten except for the elevator and it was under repair for a month while it was replaced. Also, please keep in mind when you are dealing with any review site sometimes the reviewer may be disgruntled or just might be giving false information because they themselves were bad tenants and were forced to leave. I personally pride myself on trying to be the best manager that I can be. I live here too so I don t want bad people being my neighbors and I want my home to be as nice as it can be. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or would like to tour our property and make a decision for yourself. I would encourage you to knock on any door in my building and I am sure that they would attest to this being a great place to live. Thanks and happy apartment hunting. Todd

I lived here for about 4 1/2 years. When I first moved in it was just fine. Spacious apartment, gated garage, pretty low rent, everything worked and it was surprisingly quiet. I think the building must have been half empty at the time. In the past year or so, the building along with the other buildings adjacent have been filling up with really loud and disrespectful people. Really, really loud parties that go late into the night, break-ins in the garage, and to everyone's delight someone urinates on the garage floor right outside the elevator several times a week...and no one cleans it up.Many of the tenants throw trash around the back yard and in the halls and again, no one seems to care. Also lots more tenants with lots of small children have been moving in which adds to the noise. The elevator breaks down frequently, sometimes for weeks (and once for a few months) and there are always out of order washers and dryers. All security entrances are propped open virtually every day even though I would go around and close them The management has always been fine considering it's a pretty low rent building. Most problems were fixed in reasonable time. It's a pretty cheap place so there are certain things that you can shrug your shoulder at, but the building was just getting so loud and filthy that I just couldn't stand living there anymore.

The parking spaces flood whenever it rains more than an hour. The elevator has been out of service several times this year. There was a time when it was not working for more than a month! The owner treats this place like it's a section 8 building. Who knows, maybe it is - that's why they don't care about it. It's Dec 23 - the elevator has not been working AGAIN for 4 days now. Completely ruining my plans for christmas. I can't buy food, drinks, and groceries for christmas dinner and parties and lug them up and down 2 flights of stairs. Not to mention gifts I will be distributing today and tomorrow. Can't do laundry - again the carrying issue. I had surgery a couple of months ago and am not supposed to carry anything heavy. No one picks up the phone at the propery management company - WEST ONE REALTY

The apartment themselves are OK, however, it is MOST (but not all) of the tenants that make this place absolutely horrible. The building is noisy as hell. As a bonus, if you live in the entrance side of the building you get the noise from the OTHER building which has just as lousy tenants. The elevator doesn't stop at the lobby, security doors are always unlocked, manager doesn't seem to give a damn about anything. He's been here for over 11 years and his attitude is mellow towards everything. "Ah, it's alright". "Ah, it's just a little noise", "Ah, whatever", "Ah, you'll get used to it eventually". Parking is alright although lower parking's gate is always in some state of dissarray. Lots of vandals/punks in building too. Graphitti pops up all the time and someone brakes their key into the parking entrance lock all the time. Rendering it useless. In front of the building there is an office of some christian organization of sorts and they clog the parking garage entrances ALL OF THE TIME. They have a noisy generator that you can hear if you live in front of the building and an alarm that beeps consistently most nights. "Ah, not much we do about that, you'll get used to it". Weird building configuration with no easy to find stair access yet the front lobby is inaccessible from the outside by anyone other than manager. As of lately a lot of people have moved and I'm next. THIS PLACE IS UNLIVEABLE. PERIOD.

It has been one minor disaster after another. Everytime it rains water has leaked into my unit making the carpet smell and ruining anything not water proof. About 3-4 times every year. They've "attempted" to fix it several times now and nothing has worked. But on the bright side they've had someone come in and shampoo the carpets each time. Even when the pipes burst in the next unit. The toilet backs up. The elevator is currently broken but even when it worked wouldn't stop at the lobby level. While there is a security door and gated parking garage anyone can get in and out through building access doors with broken locks. People have moved in and out of the building like there was a revolving door and I am going to be the next one.

1st of all, I'm aware that living in an apartment building means you understand there will be some issues. Having said that, this apartment is full of noisy neighbors. There is noise all the time. Day, night, early morning (pre-6 am), late night (after 11 pm) and all the way in between. TVs, Stereos, Home Theaters, etc. Sucks because for the first month or so, there was no noise, and all of a sudden, everyone begins blasting their tv and stereo. During the day, you have to put up with the noise because is day, but it's most annoying at night or early morning. Noise aside, it's an ok apartment building. One room apts get 1 parking space, so if you have more than 1 car, you'll be doing a lot of walking as parking is very restrictive in the main street. That is ok by me though, side streets have plenty of parking with no parking restrictions as far as time and days! Apartments are nice. Clean and work well. Nothing has broken yet. Nice kitches, nice rooms. One big closet and a couple of storage spaces here and there. Apartment Entrance doors slam shut (at what seems 1,000 miles per hour) and literally shake the entire floor. Trust me, when someone let's the door slam shut, YOU WILL hear it and probably feel it. Which brings up something totally different...why are people so incosiderate as to let the door slam shut? I never do. Oh well. Maybe the noise issues will one day subside, because before that, this was a really good apartment.
