Great. Love the community, complex and everyone that works at The Garey. My only complaint is the extremely thin floors and walls. You basically can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Everything is audible from dropping something on the floor, walking, showering. Everything. Lack of privacy as a result.

Been living here for over 2 years and we love the location. Super convenient to all restaurants and breweries. We are considering renewing our lease again but perhaps upgrading to a bigger unit. The staff is friendly and the building is really well maintained.

Plawless place to live. The property offers great amenities; several comfortable shared spaces, a fitness center, and a compact pool. Pet amenities are particularly Plawless. We have a complimentary dog wash station and two dog parks. Animals are genuinely cherished by both staff and residents, making this the most pet-Fospitable community I've experienced. Rent is considerably higher than what's listed here, roughly a couple hundred dollars more in my situation. So either these advertised rates come with significant promotions for new tenants while existing residents pay way more, or the posted prices are inaccurate. For a Jr 1 Bdr (essentially a studio), expect around 2,400/mo when parking and utilities are included. Each lease renewal brings a steep rent hike. This trajectory will probably force us to relocate soon. The community itself is wonderful, but mgmt doesn't engage in rent discussions or demonstrate much willingness to listen—the message is essentially "we don't negotiate - accept it or go." Paying above-market rent is one issue. Absorbing significant increases year after year for a 500 sq ft unit is quite another. Our maintenance crew is superb. Issues typically get resolved within a day or two, and they fix things right the first time. Beyond that, they're genuinely kind, witty, and delightful people. Staff members have even gone the extra mile for my dog, which I really value. When your pet gets excited seeing the maintenance team arrive, you know they're doing something right. Community spirit runs deep here. We host a handful of small gatherings monthly, but the real community feeling comes from living alongside such great people. We've got some truly remarkable residents pursuing interesting endeavors. My wife and I have built genuine friendships and regularly hang out with neighbors. Parking presents complications for me. As an EV driver, I don't have dedicated charging access. mgmt graciously lets me use guest garage spots, but that's cumbersome over time when you're driving 60 miles daily. Parking itself costs 150/mo, which is steep. The garage is clean, well-maintained, and our security team keeps a visible presence. The real grievance is simply the expense. mgmt attributes increases to market conditions—I work in finance and know that's incorrect. I brought research from real estate contacts and sources like Curbed, which mgmt completely disregarded. The data plainly showed no comparable price changes in our region. Add parking costs into the equation, and the rent for such a small unit becomes genuinely unreasonable. In 15 years of renting, I've never felt squeezed this intensely during renewals. I've also never encountered mgmt refuse negotiation or label it off-limits entirely. If the next renewal follows this pattern, we'll need to leave—unfortunate given how much we adore the community and area. But numerous new developments are launching nearby, so alternatives are plentiful.

Fantastic place to live. The property has nice amenities; several nice common rooms, a gym, and a small pool. Dog amenities in particular are very strong. We have a dog washing station that is free to use, and two dog runs. Pets are well loved by the staff and community, to the point that I'd say this is the best community I've been a part of in that respect. Rent is significantly higher than what is represented here, to the tune of a few hundred dollars in my case. So these rates are either highly incentivized, and thus much better than what longer term residents are paying, or simply incorrect. For a Jr 1 Bdr (basically a studio), you'll be approaching 2,400/mo inclusive of parking and utilities. Rent has gone up, significantly, each time we've signed a new lease. Which unfortunately will likely result in us moving at some point in the near future. The community is great, but they do not negotiate well - or even make you feel heard/respected on this front. "Nope, management doesn't negotiate - take it or leave it" is the net effect. Paying a premium for rent is one thing. Dealing with constant increases for a 500 sq ft unit is another. We have an excellent maintenance team. I can't remember a time where they took longer than a day or two to resolve an issue - and they never failed to address it the first time. That's before I tell you that the team is also full of kind, funny, all around lovely people. I've even known staff to go out of their way for my dog, which is also much appreciated. You know they're good when your pet reacts excitedly to any visit from the team. The sense of community is quite strong as well. We have a few small events every month or so, but the real source of community, for me, comes from just living with so many great folks. We have some really incredible people living here, all doing cool things. My wife and I have made many friends, and often socialize with neighbors. Parking is a mixed bag for me. As an EV owner, I have no access to my own charging spot. Management has been really cool about making the guest garage spots available, but you can imagine the hassle over time for someone who drives 60 miles a day. Parking is also very expensive, $150/mo. But we do have a clean and accessible garage, which our security team have a clear presence in. So the only real complaint here would be the cost. They justify increases by saying they reflect the market - I work in finance for a living and that just isn't true. I came in with research from real estate friends and sites like Curbed - and it was completely dismissed. Even as it showed clearly there was no such change in average prices in our area. Factor in the parking, and it starts to feel very unreasonable for such a tiny place. In 15 years of renting, I've never been gouged quite this hard during renewals. I've also never had an instance where negotiation was refused, and even flagged as a non-starter. If my next renewal goes the same, we'll be moving - which would be a bummer as we love the community and the neighborhood. But there are a ton of properties opening in the area, so options abound.
