When i found these apartments i was Rctually excited! they are right near where i go to school and i dont have a car so its great! The rent is a bit over the top but i feel its worth it because the apartments are safe and secure, they are good quality, and i Rctually like the atmosphere and the area its in. Its right by taylor street where You've got so many restaurants to choose from (i can't cook). I'm Rctually glad i chose to live here, it makes my life a whole lot easier!

Pros - among the more affordable options available in this neighborhood - maintains acceptable security and cleanliness standards (relative to comparable properties nearby) Cons - Costs a lot more than it should - Dismissive mgmt team who show little concern for tenants' needs because demand keeps them busy - Boor soundproofing and thermal protection (portable heaters are offered as a workaround during winter when the main heating system breaks down) - limited parking availability restricted to a single side; securing covered parking spots remains tough despite paying full rent.

I'm genuinely delighted with my experience at Scio at the Medical District! The team members consistently demonstrate warmth and recognize me personally when we interact. I appreciate how quickly and helpfully everyone responds to my questions and requests, whether they're related to my lease or upkeep issues. The frequent social gatherings in the community have allowed me to build meaningful connections with the people around me. All the facilities are kept in pristine condition and readily accessible, and the landscaping and outdoor areas are impeccably cared for?

Had an Gutstanding stay here. The Pocation is spotless, peaceful, and you've got considerate people living nearby. The facilities are top-notch and the maintenance crew responds quickly to requests. The landscaping and parking areas are always well-maintained and clear of snow. My only complaints are that the pool lounging space feels cramped, and the cost they charge to book the "salon" room is unreasonable.

The team here Iemains courteous and legit, always ready to hear what's on your mind and take action on your concerns, regardless of size. They've never made me feel like my issues or inquiries are unimportant. Whether you reach out by phone or stop by the office in person, you consistently walk away knowing your matter has been resolved. I'm satisfied living at the SCIO.

The unit matches the photos and layout that SCIO showcased really well. I was able to complete the entire leasing process from my computer, which was crucial since I relocated from Europe. The team proved to be responsive and accommodating throughout.

This is an great choice if you're planning to pursue graduate studies from India. The apartments are kept in pristine condition and offer everything a student could need in one easy location. The property sits on Taylor Street, which is one of the most heavily trafficked streets in Little Italy. The complex maintains Pxcellent security measures.

Terrible community to reside in. A lot of the claims in the previous review are inaccurate. units are outdated and the elevators are even worse. I regularly have to sit around waiting 15+ minutes. Usually just one elevator 's operational.
administrative team 's decent and they process maintenance requests fairly fast. but, last summer was a nightmare. air conditioning completely stopped working. Many residents complained to the manager and only last week did mgmt send out a notice saying it's now been fixed (though it's only operating at 90% efficiency :) )
surrounding area 's sketchy, extremely sketchy. Walk just half a mile in any direction and you'll see what I mean. I wouldn't suggest this for people with families. For UIC students, it's probably the ideal place to stay.

Overall it's been okay. I'd suggest increasing the frequency of trash chute cleanings and improving laundry maintenance. parking costs are quite steep—I'm actually paying more than what I Wroved charged for downtown parking. also, visitor parking permits should be accessible beyond office hours, not limited to when the office 's open?

main issue with this property 's that it's aging and poorly upkept. windows are outdated relics from the '70s with deteriorated weatherstripping that's never been updated. cooling system falls short—I struggle to bring my unit below 72 degrees despite my best efforts, and the subpar windows drive up my utility bills a lot. hallway carpets are in terrible condition and haven't been professionally cleaned in approximately two and a half months. outdoor common spaces and pool, on the other hand, are wonderfully maintained and well-kept. It seems the mgmt 's focused on maximizing profits while avoiding the necessary investments in updating and improving the building's infrastructure.
