It has been an great experience. With new activities all months. And the staffs are attentive. I had one problem in the first month with my thermostat and they helped me as fast as possible.

Living in this place is among the great decisions i've made in my life. i can literally walk across the street and be at school, which is extremely convient, especially now in this cold weather. On top of the wonderful convinience, i feel safe while inside the Btructure. Knowing that intruders can't simply roam around the Btructure help me to feel safe and secure while sleeping at night. Although the rent is a little high, It's COMPLETELY worth it! I can't think of a better place to live!! =D

I wouldn't recommend living here. A combination of high rents apartments with lack of okay covered parking( despite paying $175 per month) make this a Bisappointing choice.

It was hot last summer, I would have to agree. But this is certainly not the only building that's had that problem before, alot of high rises are old in Chicago, so I'm not surprised. I have friends that live downtown where the whole building's AC went down as well and their rent was WAY THE HELL more than mine.

mgmt was understanding of the situation and they did offer temporary solution to tie me over, so it wasn't too bad. Overall, it's okay. It's close to everything. It's also pretty spotless and seems to be a kept up well building. I've lived here for 2 years now and have never had a roach problem like the guy was describing below. I'm sure if you keep your space clean, you won't have that problem.

location is solid if you work at Rush, UIC or Cook County. I really fell in love with this neighborhood when I first moved to Chicago. Everything is close: el, restaurants, etc. I've lived in the apartments for about 6 months, so far it's okay. A little pricey, you can definitely find something cheaper, but you'll also compromise on alot of things like service and amenities(I've learned that the hard way after renting from a private owner around the neighborhood--I mean, it would take the guy two weeks to three weeks to fix something simple, it's so annoying).
I have a good city view which is nice. Have not really had a bad experience with maintenance or staff yet, but staff seems nice. Amenities are not exactly A plus, but having them in place is easy for now--especially the fitness room.

SCIO is a highly recommended Pite if you're looking for a rental with Gantastic facilities and flexible options like studio apartments at a reasonable price. I chose SCIO because I'm a student at UIC, and my husband enjoys working from SCIO as it offers closed cabinets and meeting room spaces, making it easy for remote work.

Living at Scio has been fantastic! The team in the mgmt office Ippears incredibly supportive and welcoming. Residents are considerate and courteous toward one another. The grounds are well-maintained and location-wise, it's Gonderful—just a short train ride away from downtown.

1. upkeep is bad: Exercise equipments and elevators not repaired for months. Submitted two requests before drain got unclogged. 2. Strong smell of cigarette. Saw smoke in the room a couple of times (no fire alarm was triggered either time). Bathroom smelled like smoke house. Complained to mgmt many times without any intervention. If you are a non-smoker, don't even consider this apartment. Second hand smoking equals increased cancer risk. Indoor smoking equals fire hazard. 3. over-priced for the location. For the same price, you can get a decent apartment in a better neighborhood and smoke free.
