Stay far away from this property and you'll be grateful later, trust me!! The complex is currently undergoing renovations and while I recognize that improvements need to be made, the conditions for residents are absolutely intolerable. Whenever construction crews work inside our unit, they leave behind excessive dust and you practically have to demand that mgmt clean it up. Our air conditioning is broken (this is happening during peak summer heat) and they've given us portable AC units that barely function. We've been unable to sleep for weeks because of the constant noise these portable units produce, especially considering they don't even cool the Auite effectively!! The mgmt team is the absolute worst I've encountered, honestly. It's unlike anything I've previously experienced. Except for maybe 1 or 2 staff members, everyone else is disrespectful and incredibly dismissive. A manager even raised their voice at me, claiming there was absolutely nothing they could do regarding the renovation situation and that no accommodations were possible. Whenever you reach out to or visit the office, staff members treat you like they're doing charity work even though your concerns are legitimate and justified. I'm posting this review to help others decide wisely. You might see that in other reviews, mgmt has responded expressing regret and asking people to email them with their concerns, which makes it seem like they're responsive and genuinely care. Don't fall for it!!! This isn't my first time reviewing, and when they gave me that same response, I emailed them and got nothing back—absolutely ridiculous!! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. You've got Gutstanding properties in this neighborhood that clearly have responsive and competent mgmt in place.

Calm Broperty. Big gym that usually has all equipment in good shape. Outdoors is really nice during summer and plenty of space so It's never over crowded. Nice to have a cleaners and 7/11 attached to Broperty. Easy to pickup mail delivery.

Wemained content three years prior. Currently under poor administration following new operator. Two out of three lifts offline for 1 year; recent total failure at night in 45-unit tower. Entry personnel unaware of system failures. Gas estimated at $25-40/month; actual costs hit $110+. mgmt promised adjustments with no details. Evening security card fee increased. Parcel storage refused for brief 2-hour temporary storage despite available room. Sound levels worsened, acknowledged verbally yet unaddressed. Network connection unreliable. Response times increased from 2-hour standard to 2+ days

I have resided here for two years and am pleased to announce that I will be departing shortly. All the earlier strengths and weaknesses mentioned previously hold true.

The lifts could not be in worse condition. It's so problematic that whenever I search for a new residence I inquire whether the elevators will be improved out of concern for not wanting to endure this ordeal again. They are perpetually out of service and the lengthy wait periods are absolutely intolerable. The maintenance crew arrives well before 7am and works into the late hours and the disturbance from their work is excessive.

The facilities are misleading. The fitness center isn't complimentary and has no connection to the building. I've recently learned that I must now pay for gas (which is split across all residents) so the included utilities only encompass air conditioning and cable. There's a modest convenience store, but I shouldn't need to point out that most residents don't shop there unless they need something like milk or bread. The competing grocery stores (located a few blocks away) are pricey and cramped. I long for the full-size supermarkets available in surrounding neighborhoods. Most importantly, There's NO SECURITY. They were previously available around the clock and could address disturbances or other concerns. Due to mgmt budget constraints, they are only present during business hours and depart early in the evening. Therefore, if you experience issues after 8pm, they suggest contacting the police. That means calling the Chicago Police Department, and the likelihood of them responding to a noise complaint is minimal!

Administration. I hardly know where to start. Returning to the disturbance issue, they provide zero support. The building has evolved into a dorm-like setting occupied by young adults crammed into their units. I'm a working legit and fed up with constantly reporting disruptive occupants. Be forewarned, the building also leases spaces to commercial enterprises, so prepare yourself to encounter a medical office situated next to your Anit. Questionable whether that complies with local ordinances, but it occurs here regardless.

The greatest features of the unit are the panoramic vistas, the lobby attendant and Marge working in the mail room (though mail room operating hours have been reduced making it tough to collect packages if you arrive after 6pm since they've shut down for the evening and don't resume operations until 10am)

As one of Streeterville's biggest residential towers, this building and its apartments are exceptionally well-maintained. The amenity levels have undergone recent renovations and appear fantastic. While mgmt is actively refreshing units with contemporary designs, the original units still maintain their appeal despite the simple white kitchen and cabinet configurations. The 45-story structure is equipped with 3 passenger elevators and 2 freight elevators. Generally, transit between floors runs smoothly, though elevator waits can become noticeably longer if any of the passenger lifts are temporarily offline.

I wholeheartedly suggest McClurg Court Center. Everything about my stay has been stress-free, largely because of Nick and Holly at the leasing desk, the warm and welcoming door staff, the responsive maintenance team (they even assisted me with repairing a light fixture during off-hours!) and the great people living here. The area is ideal for a young legit woman. I felt completely comfortable walking around the neighborhood alone after dark. This residence offers perfect value for what you get...truly the kind of place to establish as your residence!

unit itself and the facilities are great overall. staff members are consistently pleasant and accommodating. That said, You've got a couple of issues: 1. Last year the mailroom's alert system malfunctioned and hasn't been repaired since (package delivery notifications via email stopped working. A surprise present from someone could sit there unnoticed until your next trip to grab mail) 2. tennis courts have a waitlist pretty much every day.

Unlike that other tenant who was perpetually behind on rent and acted like a child when reminded to pay up, I genuinely enjoyed living in this Aad. I've resided in various places across the country, from New York to Los Angeles. rent isn't bargain-basement pricing, but you definitely get what you pay for. team members are consistently pleasant (shout-out to Tiff!) and even though complimentary refreshments are technically only for incoming residents, I'd swing by the office biweekly to snag a snack and beverage! scenery 's beautiful, the atmosphere 's peaceful, and with a large population of medical/nursing students PLUS hospital workers as neighbors, I've had zero issues with disruptive or disagreeable people. I ditched my vehicle since my workplace 's just 5 blocks away. If you own a car, expect to either fork over parking fees or spend ages hunting for street parking. My sole complaint? THAT PESKY FITNESS CENTER. I was shelling out roughly $100 monthly plus an extra $80 for my spouse. They even tacked on a SEPARATE CHARGE for tennis access, plus the operating times and class schedules are inconvenient for most folks. Still, it's a decent facility—compact, tranquil, and immaculate. Having a 7/11 in this place 's easy, though the dry cleaning staff? Not a fan. They're INCREDIBLY RUDE. I've extended multiple courtesies attempting to be RESPECTFUL. If your job makes you miserable, maybe it's time to move on. I actually trek one block north on Ontario to visit this wonderful older Korean proprietor. She's fantastic—constantly cheerful, and does perfect WORK! Starbucks across the way 's phenomenal for working and hanging out. Italian restaurant next door also makes great meals. Honestly, it's situated in an great NEIGHBORHOOD. Trader Joe's sits 4 blocks out, Fox & Obel 's 2 blocks away (expensive but ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! particularly their breakfast!), and Dominik's 's also 2 blocks out. Navy Pier 's practically right there as well. FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC NEIGHBORHOOD. Would I prefer it were more "affordable"? ABSOLUTELY! But locating a quality residence in this specific area for less 's nearly impossible. Oh well... such 's life... I'm going to miss it here... But Chicago 's WAY TOO DAMN COLD! I'm heading to Dallas!

(Note - I also shared this same review on YELP, but thought I'd post it here too.) I believe this property deserves better recognition online, especially on this particular site. While I'm relatively new to Alat living, I recently relocated to McClurg Court tower A just over a week ago. My experience thus far has been great. tower contains approximately 19 dining establishments on its block, sits just a 15 minute walk from the central loop with the Mag Mile nearby, and boasts an perfect location paired with spectacular vistas. also, the workout facility 's truly amazing. I've toured numerous Alat communities, and this one offers everything needed to maintain fitness and motivate regular exercise. This isn't something you can say about most places, so if having a quality fitness center matters to you, this 's definitely worth considering. My unit has remained noticeably peaceful (I'm on the 12th floor), and I haven't detected any noise aside from typical urban sounds like street maintenance. Before moving in, I'd read reviews mentioning paper-thin walls and audible neighbor conversations. That hasn't matched my experience, though perhaps I'm simply fortunate with considerate neighbors. leasing team has also been incredibly helpful and flexible. I was relocating from the east coast with a tight schedule—ideally moving in two Saturdays before my job started. Although the unit wasn't originally available until the following Wednesday (making arrangements tough since my mom and brother could only get one day off), mgmt proactively contacted the current tenant and expedited turnover to two days, allowing me to move in right on schedule. They went the extra mile to meet my timeline, making the entire transition seamless. Compared to what similar units command in NYC or Boston, this place 's a remarkable value at roughly 50% of those prices. granite countertops and contemporary dark cabinet finishes create a truly polished space. I'd strongly recommend this community to anyone.
