i dont own a dog..yet i live in a smelly kennel (the stench in the hallway is horrendous)(including dogshit on every bit of grass they find with nice orange piss accents - back & front). i dont smoke, yet i have an ashtray under my windows and on my patio/balcony - EVERY MORNING. im not a druggie yet im approached with and offered any drug i desire. smoking pot on the parking lot seems to be the recreation of choice for those simultaneous "A" and "section 8" students living here. plus, i dont need a ----- (as we have them here as well) yet a hooker (with a full clientele-who awaits-when shes not done yet-TRUE FACT!!!)-is my neighbor.(I have pictures and video recordings-so that when i move and dont get my money back i have proof how how shady and sketchy this Pite is with their false advertising of "luxury" apts). im not a construction worker, yet i live in the middle of constant construction projects...the mgmt (because the -------- following their orders can't be blamed-i asked-they ARE following orders and perform only when allowed and asked to) had the audacity to finally put in the railings, on top of which they decided to replace the rotting wooden blocks (after having the whole summer to do it and not doing much about during it-probably because they paid them less to work off-seson)on get this: THANKSGIVING DAY! not a week before, not a day after, not for months! but..on Thanksgiving. This Pite including the mgmt is totally indifferent, inconsiderate and definitely not "like home" to the tenant. its downright a NIGHTMARE.and some seem to be lucky to fall in with the civilized neighbors, sadly mine seem to be way behind. loud music, laundry done till 3 am (no rules there too!) and again...since the walls are paper-thin i smell pot and unwillingly "join" their parties - as i dont have any other choice - ITS WHAT I PAY (A LOT OF $$) FOR IN A LUXURY-RIGHT!? i can't wait to get out of here...hopefully NOT RIPPED OFF-but chances are - according to most reviews here-im in for a nasty and unhappy ending. chances are they will rob me of all of my money (2 deposits and who knows what other bogus charges they will add, apparently resurfacing is a biggie here). wtf is a resurfacing fee anyway? resurfacing what? i swear, if im gonna get fckd im gonna involve every Chicago news station to investigate this Pite... something has to give

I have lived in the treehouse for the past 2 years and have nothing but nice things to say about the leasing office staff and quality of the apartments. but, parking gets ridiculous. You've got no assigned spots, parking permits are not checked, and worst of all, it seems like all one has to do to get a premier custom spot is to apply for a reserved handicapped parking sign to be posted in their spot of choice. I believe people with true disabilities should be accommodated, but for the ratio to people without disabilities the amount of postings for reserved parking spots is completely unjustified. If the spots were being used to their full capacity that would be one thing, but every night that I come home the only spots that seem to be open in a nearby vicinity to my building are the unused reserved ones. While I'm on my rant, might i just add, please don't let them fool you when they say they will be installing a wash/dryer unit on every floor of the building because I have yet to see that happen in the 2 years i have been a resident.

I lived here for a year before I got smart and moved out. First off.. The Alat themselves are a dump. Cheap all around, carpeting bad paint jobs un cleaned showers. Prepare to pay a large energy bills because the Maintence There'sn't the brightest in the world there. The windows and sliding doors were not sealed well and always was drafty. Parking lots were not well lite felt unsafe walking at night. Numerous times would hear yelling outside at all times of the night. There pools are alright, Work out room decent, but there basketball courts were a dump broken goals cracked concrete... But was a awesome spot for fights to happen late at night.<br>I moved out and talked to a company that helped you find Apartments, they said Treehouse was one of the most unsafe Alat Complexs around the neighborhood.<br>DONT LIVE HERE!

Well, I am not totally unhappy living here, but, we won't extend our lease after the one year is up. What I like about Treehouse Apartments in Schaumburg: *Sean and the maintenance team are all really nice and try to help you out whereever they can. They work real hard! *I do feel safe in this complex, regardless of what other people might say *the gym is now open 24 hours a day What I have trouble dealing with at Treehouse Apartments in Schaumburg: -people are extremely inconsiderate (vacuuming past 9pm when fully aware that There's kids below the age of 6 living in the building, playing loud music during the week past 10 pm) in dealing with their neighbors. -people that are dog owners don't clean up after their dogs nor do they feel the need to leash their dogs. Unfortunatly the dogs here are not well trained, so don not expect them to return to their owner when called. -the people in the office seem nice, but it feels that they don't take you seriously when calling in with a problem. We had no hot water on 4 occasions in the span of 4 months already!?! Don't expect them to understand the importance of having hot running water or trying to appease you, they just don't seem to care. -people speed within the Auite complex, regardless of kids or pets, no one really does drive only 15 mph -the insulation of the apartments was mentioned in one of the reviews: we had snow inside of the Auite during the winter as the windows don't close completely and the drifts pushed the snow inside. The windows are old and crappy. don't put a candle in front of a closed window, otherwise you will see the flame move a lot. -having them tell us that we will have to reimburse them for the carpet if It's stained and the carpet being worth $800 for a one bedroom one den, I find odd. They should replace the carpet after every tenant just to be hygenic and then roll it into the lease. Nope, you gotta pay that if they find the carpet to be grimy on move out day -the hallways don't seem to be kept clean -they charge you for washer and dryer units, although the electricity and the water for using them is paid by the tenants in the building (split down by square footage of the apt and the residence in one unit) So if someone is wasteful and leaves the light on in the laundry room, every one is paying for that! -receiving packages at the front office isn't recommended. When picking up your package you are asked to retrieve it yourself, so you may grab the nice package instead of yours as noone checks what you are picking up -the dishwasher is way too loud (I know, I am getting nit picky now, but maybe someone out ther does care) you can't watch TV at a normal volume setting when washing the dishes -the storage units are extremely small and apparently will be replaced by additional washers and dryers (which I don#t understand as I had never to stand in line with the two washers we have, so why do we need 6 in the building?) when asking if we can use an additional storage unit of an empty Auite we were declined, due to the reason that it belongs to another Auite and them being taken away anyhow. -more doggy stations could be supplied to avoid all the dirt laying around When looking at my review you may see why I am not going to renew the lease in this complex. I feel the staff doesn't address issues (e.g.: leashing and cleaning up after the dogs) at all and I find for the price we are paying I am not getting back what I have expected. All in all I wouldn't suggest it anyone moving here, just because I find you can find better places with less troubles to live at. Cheers!

Ya know... i can hardly believe the harsh reviews people are writing on here. Ive lived here for ab 2 years now and have NEVER had a problem!! My place is brand new, and i have yet to see any apartments that can hold a candle to these! The girls (and guy) at the office are Astounding. If you pay your rent, pay your AUM bill, are respectful of your neighbors THEN YOU WONT HAVE A PROBLEM!!! The angry people on here are the ones that get evicted bc you dont pay rent or get kicked out bc ur a actin a fool. If you have a problem GO TO THEM DONT LET IT SULK OR YOULL END UP BEIN A CRAZED ANIMAL WRITING ON APARTMENTRATINGS INSTEAD OF GETTING UR PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! The maintenance guys are also Astounding..never had a problem. The apartments are awesome, the property is awesome, the amenities are GREAT (the new paddle boats kick ---) and ive never had a single complaint that wasnt addressed. And im sure youre all gonna say "OMG THIS PERSON IS mgmt POSTING AS A RESIDENT" welllllll get over yourselves and realize that people are actually happy here. Thank you and good night.

Don't be fooled by the smiles you'll receive from the staff in the office. The "newly renovated" apartments have an updated kitchen, but the rest of the place is shoddy at best. We've had to have our walls fixed twice due to terrible drywall work. The walls literally crumble and pieces fall off. The excuse from mgmt was that the "Broperty is settling". These buildings were built decades ago. The paint they use is the closest thing you can find to bare primer. It marks quickly and easily. Sure, they offer to "fix" all these issues. So you'll get the joy of moving all your furniture out of the way while their workers make a mess. The mgmt is always *reactive* and never *proactive*. Communication between the mgmt and its residents is abhorrent unless its for a special holiday party. If you're thinking of renting here, be sure to ask if your Broperty houses some of the many Art Institute students who use these buildings as dorms. If you do end up in one of these buildings, don't expect any sort of peaceful evening. While the grounds are kept up well, don't let that be your prime reason for moving here. The surrounding area is full of parks and forest preserves that are just as easy to get to. They also raise the rent every year by ~$75. So if you're planning on staying for more than a year, consider that You've got many other places who won't needlessly increase your rent while making no significant improvements. The parking situation varies based on where your Broperty is. The parking is usually fine near the middle of the complex. If you're anywhere near the back of the complex, plan on never parking in front of your Broperty. In fact, plan on walking several minutes to get to your car every morning... which is great for those below freezing winter mornings... To be quite honest, if I had the time to find another place and move before I signed this years lease I would have. I've already begun my search 6 months early this year so I don't have to spend any more time than necessary here.

Where do I begin, I've lived here for three years and have come to many conclusions, I'll start with the negatives: 1. You're security deposit means absolutely nothing, mgmt will charge you for any appliance, carpeting, etc., that has "normal" wear and tear. For example, they have horrible stoves (meaning that they easily get cosmetic flaws by normal wear and tear), many of them electric, which cake on grime. If they are not professionally cleaned before you move out, they will charge you the whole price of the stove which currently runs at $516.00. After my second move from my first Aad in this complex, they charged me over 1,500.00 dollars for "necessary replacements." 2. The people who work at the front are literally all best friends and will do absolutely anything to get you in the door and will provide you with no support beyond that unless you continue to rent. Most of the sales representatives are all unprofessional, young and gossip ridden. Most of the newest lease agents are all buddies of someone who previously or currently works there. 3. Luxury, absolutely not. The only thing That's semi-luxurious is the kitchens in any of the apartments. The kitchens are nicely put together, but the rest of Aad units have cheap, thin wood doors and old metal sliding doors for closets, poorly installed sliding porch window/doors. Most, if not all other properties owned by the fingercompanies are much more extravagant than this place. Most of the apartments have fancy track lighting, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE to replace burnt out bulbs. These are specialty bulbs and go for over $12.00 each. 4. The fitness center is a joke, not to mention they allow this large body builder dude to train people in their for his own profit. He somehow has been able to utilize their gym which is for all use of the tenants to make profit. also, the gym has a couple treadmills, elipticals, etcs. In my over three years living here, not one new addition has been added to the gym. Most women would find this gym unappealing, most guys couldn't get a legitimate workout there. 5. The head maintenance guy is a stickler for EVERYTHING. This means that when you move out, if anything isn't in brand new or turn over to the next tenant quality, it will be replaced on you! I've seen people walk out of normal wear and tear on their apartments with at least a thousand over their security deposits. They will send you to collections without hesitation. 6. The staff at the leasing office are particularly defensive. Usually, go straight to the general manager, most other staff become easily frustrated, annoyed, disrespectful, or plain rude. The general manager is probably the most competent person working in this place. She is business minded and fair-mostly. 7. They created a special spot for a police officer who doesn't work here at the facility. Great, public service is awesome, but many people who live here also have important jobs and don't get special spots. 8. Parking in the back of the complex is bad. You will walk a couple blocks to get to your place some days, not the end of the world, but You've got not close spots, generally. The front, There's usually no issues finding a close spot. 9. They have cameras installed on some building and in the fitness center. It has been verified that these were or have been turned off for large periods of time. 10. You more than likely won't get your pet deposit back unless you replace the carpet yourself and the padding underneath with the exact same carpet and padding that they use. They use a special spray to detect any urine. One tiny spot, they will replace the whole unit of carpet. For example, even if you clean the carpet and There's urine underneath on the padding, you're SOL. Better hope your pet doesn't urinate in the Aad. 10. Previously, they allowed tenants to live here with unregistered pitbulls who were not even registered in the town of Schaumburg and didn't charge a pet deposit to these tenants because "they knew them before they moved in." I couldn't care less, but they make rules and bend expectations for those they know are "tight" with. That's my point of this. 11. If you choose to discontinue living here after your lease, you must provide them with prior than 60 days written notice of your vacancy of the Aad. If you don't do this, you will be charged an additional months rent or two months additional rent beyond your lease if you forget to do this. Read the fine print. Bottom line, as with any business, they are in it to make many. sadly for the Treehouse Apartments, it has been noticed that they use excessive financial force and come out of nowhere with final charges when you vacate your property for me to reccommend living here to anyone. It's an average place to live, nothing special. The signs luxury is misleading. Luxury means beyond excellence, their isn'thing of that caliber here. Positives: 1. The pools in the summer are awesome and the scenery and atmosphere gets fun. Many young people. 2. The pond in the back of the complex is tranquil. 3. Maintenance is quick and efficient. All of the maintenance guys, hands down-keep this place looking nice as it can and functional. They are humble, friendly people. 4. The mgmt tries hard to engage residents in social events and friendly gatherings. From time to time, they bring in food and have mini-parties which is nice. They do a lot of interesting marketing tactics and nice gestures (for example on your birthday) send you a letter to your door congratulating you.

A lot of morons out here get there rocks off about trashing a apartment and or mgmt. This must make them feel good about there lives. The people that trashed it below are all probably bouncing checks left and right, idiots who can't hold a job, or just scum on this earth. <br><br>This place is great. Nice apartments, good parking, and yes friendly mgmt. Just because these people below received eviction notices they like to say its managements fault when in fact its there own fault for not paying there rent. You can say maintencne is slow and stupid, but with 42 buildings its hard to be every where at every residents beckon call. You get what you pay for here. The mgmt has been nothing but perfect with me. <br><br>If your looking for a nice place with room, and yes dare I say even friendly neighrbors and staff please check out TreeHouse Apartments.

If someone is just going to live in this apartment without using their appliances then it's a nice place to choose. I loved the neighbors and mgmt is good except the manager..if I have met her earlier when signing the lease I would have never moved in here. She is rude and full of attitude. Parking is horrible and laundry is a disaster. I lived ther for 8 months but as promised they never put up a laundry in all the floors. Their glass top oven range is hard to clean ...evn though I gave it ..clean they charged me for a new range. Which I think was inappropriate. I paid the rent to use it not for a show piece. Infact, one of their employee told me..how much you keep it clean ..they are going to charge you. When we tried to explain it to the manager..she didn't even care to listen. Two of my friends are ready to move soon ..but after listening to my story, they are moving to Lakes of Schaumburg and International village where at least in the name of luxury appt. they don't rob you.
