Where to start... Well let me say first of all that the leasing staff was behind my roommates and I 100% of the way through the leasing process. You've got three of us and they were flexible with working with us in our unique situation. Sammy Del Real (the only male agent I believe) was willing to work with us and make our arrangements comfortable. In terms of the property and quality of life at Treehouse, I will break it down into areas I see as important. Building/Alat Quality - All new residents at Treehouse walk into a completely remodeled living space. The kitchen comes with a new fridge, oven, and microwave, imitation cherry wood floors, a stainless steal sink, and best of all... granite counter tops. The family room is what you make of it and is fairly straightforward white walls and carpet. The bathrooms are also redone with a clean look. The general quality of work (carpentry, electrical, and plumbing) in the place is decent. Our plumbing worked fine, but I would have liked to see high flow shower heads and toilets in the bathrooms. Also note, no coax calbes are moved when you move in. If the previous tenants had cable and you'd like to use antenna or vice a versa, you'll have to open the wall jacks up and switch the connector from the cable wire to the antenna one. I'm lucky enough to have worked with tv installation before and knew all that was need to was a simple wire change. Ammenities- The only ammenities I use regularly are the workout room and the back pool (You've got two pools total). The workout room is big enough for the crowd that gathers there. Every once in a while, I'll have to wait to use the bench press, but You've got enough machines to do something else while I wait. If you're a workout buff you might be better off getting a membership at Lifetime (10 minute drive). but, if you are a casual exerciser, this gym is more than okay. The pool is right next to the work out room. It has some great scenery and makes a nice "cool-down" after a workout. Other ammenities I know of are: Fishing Lake BBQ pits Basketball Courts Tennis Courts Sauna Demographics - The mix of people at Treehouse is huge. If I had to guess, I would say the average age is around 30 with a large amount of people in their 20's and 30's. If you're young and single, You've got plenty of other singles in the compelx. If you are in a family, You've got also plenty of those at Treehouse. I'm a signle male, but if I was married and had kids I would feel safe having my kids here. You'll see kids running around outside playing around the pools and at the basketball court. If you're a senior citizen looking to move in here, I wouldn't go so far as to say you wouldn't like it here, but the crowd is definitely younger. I know of one senior at Treehouse. She is always kind and good natured, but I don't see her going out often. Roads/Parking - Not much to say here. I always manage a close parking spot. The speed bumps are annoying but neccessary. Grounds/Maintenance - The upkeep of the trees and landscaping is the only problem I have with Treehouse Apartments. Personally, I would like to see the majority of the trees replaced with saplings and the ground retaining logs replaced with new logs. Doing this would add to the "luxuriousness" of the apartments. Those are the most important parts of living at Treehouse. A few more points that I either couldn't fit or forgot about: -The maintence staff is awesome. They're nice guys and eager to help from hanging a picture to fixing your AC. They will do a double great job if you tip. -Haven't heard any loud parties yet, but it wouldn't be a stretch to expect some party noise over the weekend. -Downtown Palatine is a 10 minute drive away (20 in the mornings on a school day) and is 4 miles, regardless of what the agents may tell you. This is important if you ride the train in the morning. -The closest grocery store is the Dominicks on Quentin about a mile away from the complex -A Chase bank is across the street from the Dominicks.

I was looking for an apartment and i thought this place seemed like a good place because they do criminal checks on all tenants. Little did I know the criminals are inside. they take a deposit on the apartment that I am told I will get back if I don't qualify. Well I changed my mind and they wouldn't hand over the check. I argued with them, how can you tell me I can´t have my money if I changed my mind and am not moving in? Mind you, i already paid for a credit check, this was a separate check. They wouldn't give me my check. They robbed me of nearly 300 to hold an apartment for 2 days while I waited to hear back, then changed my mind BEFORE i heard back from them, and they told me too bad. I could put it towards an apartment in the next 12 mos. but no, that money is ours now. I Whatever you do, don´t let these crooks get your money too. don't SIGN the application, That's the fine print that screws you out of money even if you never live there. I would like to vandalize that office and at least make them pay with MY MONEY for the damage. At least then I will have bought the joy of revenge.

So, i moved in three weeks ago, believe me i was a little skeptical of this place when i even came here just because of what people are saying on this site. I had 2 friends that live here/ lived here and they said that they had nothing bad to say about this place and not to pay attention to what this site says. Well even them assuring me of this i still wasn't at ease. I go to the office got shown around everyone was incredibly nice the staff was, the people that were around ( and mind you i was looking for all these people you all talk about and no one in the least bit shady was around) I did see a lot of attractive woman and just a mix of older people with their little kids and young people like myself. im 25 so i also wanted to make sure i wasnt going into an old person home. well after being showed a model i still wasnt convinced i wanted to see the apt i could be going into... with out even asking if i wanted to see the actual apartment i was taken there saw it everything is definitely brand new. i walked into an apt with the smell of brand new carpet, new paint the freaking owners manual was still in the fridge. i loved it, i thought it was amazing i was concerned about the parking situation again my leasing agent was honest and helpful, he straight up let me know may be a little rough but because of the area you are in its concentrated with buildings and is the bulk of the property. props to you my friend you did good. ive had a few maintenance requests to be done and they did get taken care of for me both on the same day, which you know what? Thats pretty awesome considering how big this place is. As far as noise goes and strange people at night and gang bangers and everything else that everyone had me convinced that this place is a ---- hole. Im sorry but I have not seen one thing and either im blind or something but so far so good. I want to thank the leasing staff and my agent a lot for the help and making me feel at ease and Ive met some awesome people here at the pool so far, which we have gotten the chance to go out and that nightclub across the street is kinda a plus too for nights that i want to go out and not have to drive. Ill post another review here in 6 months and tell you how it has been. Otherwise everyone do your legwork but if you are interested in this place do come here and check it out. let them show you around and if you arent sold then you arent sold but i didnt feel like i was had or lied to or anything like that. I am happy so far.

After reading all of these reviews I am shocked and scared at the same time. I currently live at the tree house and some of what i have read is true. I do agree There's alot of lower class people to have been found living in the community and now understand why.... section 8 says it all...... It would probably be a nicer place to stay and safer at that if Tree house did not accept section 8 housing... I did confirm this as well before posting.... I knew someone whom lived here years ago and at that time this was the place to live in schaumburg. Unfortunatly You've got awhole lot of reasons you wouldn't want to now. I personally haven't had to many problems myself. As long as I keep to myself. I do see the police at our complex at least once a day and have been told that You've got alot of problems here from the police department. I also read in the reviews that You've got sex offenders living in the complex. THIS SCARES THE HECK OUT OF ME as i have small children and will definetly check into this.....ok so checked that out and yes There's one offender currently living in the community but was 17 and the victim was 16 could have been a couple not creepy like a 32 year old man and a 13 year old BUT You've got currently 54 offenders in a 5 mile radius of The Tree House apartments THERE EVERYWHERE.... I really wish they wouldn't accept section 8 i know it probably benefits them but lowers the class of this complex. I pay an aweful lot of money to have to deal with such things as seeing cops out all the time and people b boxing in the streets and all that. Staff was exceptionally nice when i came to the community as people have mentioned and have seen a decrease since becoming a resident but still haven't had the problems people have posted. Like i said not a horrible place to live... only been here a little while though.... Could be better with just a few changes... location's amazing though i do admit in the heart of schaumburg.

My husband I were planning on moving to the tree house. but after further looking into the complex, I decided that this wasn't the place for us and we would continue our apartment search. I understood that the application fee was NON refundable but the deposit we placed would be fully refundable since we were NOT under a lease. When I called to let them know we are NO longer interested in the apartment the once so nice office staff, in particular Vanessa, turned into a nasty unhelpful person. She then told me that our deposit was also NON refundable and we had the choice to take the apartment or be out of the application fee cost and the deposit...in total $385!!! When I asked to see where that was in the contract she said she would fax it to me...well I never got that fax. In the mean time I placed a STOP payment for the check for the deposit and have since found a GREAT apartment. I HIGHLY advice AGAINST the tree house. I HIGHLY recomment Bourbon Square in Palatine. The apartments aer HUGE, mgmt is great, and you get the most for your money. I am SO glad I did my homework and decided to NOT move there.

For anyone, please don't move There's safety is a factor.
Sincerely,
SMU

Risrespectful, nasty, racist mgmt, maybe because I am black. You know the kind of people with low paying jobs that seem to get pleasure by bossing people around. They leave Risrespectful threatening messages on my voicemail. I paid my rent in full and they denied they got it, they know they got my money and I can prove it. I think they just want to harass me until I leave. Now I have to contact a lawyer. don't RENT FROM HERE. The Treehouse of Schaumburg is Treadful.

yeah, thats pretty much the motto of the Prea. No concept of Customer Service, the manager truly could use lessons in CS 101.

The Prea has Renuinely degraded in the last few years with no maintenance of the property.

I am moving out....

I lived here for two years and could not wait to get out!! The major complaints I had were that we had extremely neighbors are loud. They would come in around 2 or 3 during weekday and bring a lot of other people with them and stand outside and have beers and yell back and forth to one another. It was a college scene. The neighbors only stayed about 2 or 3 months, who knows whatever happened to them. Problem number two was the gross carpet. It wasn´t in the best condition when we moved in. The appliances are pretty outdated as well.
I wouldn´t recommend this Alat!!!
