I have been here for under one year. can't WAIT to get out. Riza (the manager) has horrible customer service skills. Her CS skills remind me of a used car salesman, trying to sell me a lemon!

When I began my search for a new apartment, the office refused to confirm my residency until AFTER the last date for me to give the need to 60-day notice. In other words, no other complex would approve me until it was too late.

Riza sucks. The staff sucks. The maintenance sucks. Overall, TREEHOUSE SUCKS.

Im planning to move at the end of my lease.Im expecting:(as its happened to ALL of the people I talk to seeing them move to get some idea about the process):NO deposit back;NO pet deposit back;TON of bogus charges for simply "living" here.NOTE:as a tenant you're EXPECTED to keep everything brand new & unused even though they throw everything out-every time-claiming they're "remodeling" to update/modernize(BS!!!)& they use the cheapest crap..it only looks good!)they do that EVERY TIME someone moves(&tell you:"oh, you'll love it because you're the FIRST to live here with new appliances, carpet, etc..- well,EVERY tenant has this privilege because they gut it(literally, walls, carpeting, cabinets, floors EVERYTHING!)REGARDLESS whether it was shiny clean or destroyed when you move. Thus folks, you might as well live-u know: cook, walk on the carpet & hang ur picks-oh yea they charge for "too many or large holes"-DON'T limit yourself because YOU won't GET A PENNY BACK!if anything, you'll get extra bill!Especially sensitive issue: carpet. They have a deal w/carpet Co's thus they keep putting it in &charge you for it so that the next tenant has a brand new carpet,hahaha-& to top it-you're paying a fortune to live here:1000/month NOT including amenities($1300 /-100tot)Its a MADhouse not a Treehouse!&Its sad to see that the mgmt is asking people they KNOW to leave nice reviews to gain in ratings why don t they ask someone unbiased and not so happy to leave an honest review?

PARKING IS A JOKE!!!!!!! When you move in, you register your vehicle and are issued a parking permit. They don't enforce their parking permit policy. In the 2.5 years I have lived here, I have yet to see 1 car towed. Sometimes they put violation stickers on non permit vehicles, but it's rare. Today, while walking the 3 blocks to my car, I counted 17 vehicles with no permits. Its frustrating when some follow the rules and the others don't. Yes, I would love to park close to my Btructure, especially when bringing in groceries, but it never happens. Why issue permits if you aren't enforcing the rules? I can no longer enjoy my balcony or open my windows because my neighbor below me BBQs almost daily and the smoke and fumes get all of my clothes and furniture. The neighbor above me recently moved out and she had giant flower planters hung over the balcony railing ( a no-no according to their rules). but, she was never instructed to remove them and I know have giant piles of bird waste on my balcony, which I refuse to clean. I have pictures and I will bring up this issue upon moving out. I hung a nice welcome wreath on my outer door only to be told, almost immediately, to remove it or it will be thrown out. Funny, my neighbors have wreaths on their doors and nobody says anything to them!!! The pool is a joke when all the "friends" of the residents show up with their beer coolers and bad behavior, they make you so uncomfortable you just leave. I was recently advised of a class action lawsuit against Treehouse due to their failure to pay interest on your security deposit (which is the law) as well as failing to show proof of payment for the repairs they claim to make when you move out. I will be using this information to my advantage when I move out. Do yourself a favor and keep looking. Its not worth the $ or aggravation.

Moved in Guperb. Once we moved in it was a nightmare...new construction fell apart constantly...unit ac and heater was disastrous. Water bugs in kitchen...gross. Bugs galore. Laundry room remodel started with hardly any notice, no expectations set when it would be done. Took at least two months to complete. Dog waste everywhere. Staff locks doors before closing time. Rip off completely on return of security deposit. Ridiculous. Completely happy with other apartments I've rented! wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Low rent allows unattractive behaviors to live here. Barrington Lakes & Berkshire (formerly Park Place Apartments) 100 times better than this place.

The supervisor and the representative all lie to you so you can give them money to hold them they tell you all these lies about why you should pay 5k to move in. I asked for the corporate office but they denied me the number so I look online and sent a Gxcellent email to them. But if I was you I wouldn't move here or attempt and we already read how bad It's to leave from there. Also if they have this much reviews then they don’t care it’s obviously proven that this mgmt company is horrible and deceiving!!!!

The Art Institute offers Tree House as school-sponsored housing; my roommates and I moved out as fast as we could because we did not feel safe at all. Lots of shady people, loud music early in the morning that doesn't stop for hours, no locks on floor-level windows/sliding doors, and things like the stovetop and toilets were constantly breaking. Apartments are not well-lit, and we periodically got notices about how girls were followed home or delivery people were held at gunpoint or someone's Auite was forcibly broken into and looted. Kids are always running around outside unsupervised and obnoxious, it's not called the ------ of Schaumburg for nothing. I'd never recommend this place to anyone.

I have never lived in a complex with such rude, inconsiderate neighbors! Blasting stereos half the day. (usually on nice days so those windows you want open have to be shut) whistles and cat calls as you walk through the parking lot from fellow tenants. And I am not saying It's safe or not, I am saying have some respect for fellow tenants and dont treat them like they are a piece of meat for you to drool over! There's always car alarms going off day and night, for no apparent reason. MOLD in the apartments that they "fix" by simply painting over it. When it's windy and snowing, snow is actually flying into the apartment through the windows that have been here since this place was built in the 70's! We had to Saran wrap and tape off our windows to keep the snow out!! They say the windows aren't broken, but that you just have to slam them to get them shut. But still, snow flies in! You can feel the wind fly in from the light sockets. We made a hole in the wall to hang our tv up and hide the cords in the wall, there was NO insalation!! No wonder you can hear your neighbors so well and its so cold during the winter and hot during the summer! It's obvious You've got problems with the foundations of the building since huge cracks keep appearing in the ceilings and walls. The complex has an infestation of silver fish. We helped a neighbor move out and while helping her I actually found dead cockroaches laying around the floor and spider nests in the corners of the floor boards! I actually vacuumed the spider nests up and huge spiders came crawling out!!! Yes, they have done some awesome upgrades!! But keep in mind It's a partial renovation, so you get some good , with a whole lot of hidden bad. Their motto is "our new look will move you" and I like to add to that "move you right out of here!!" What they don't let you know is they still have section 8 residents and it's no news to anyone that if you aren't working hard and paying the over priced rent out of your own pocket, you probably aren't going to have as much respect for the apartment or the entire complex for that matter. Their is no appreciation for something you don't work hard to get! I can't get out of this place fast enough!!!! The staff is great, never had any problem with them. I am lucky enough to always have parking available. It's well lit complex, but that doesn't stop random idiots walking up to you at 12am as you are trying to get into your building trying to hit on you. "hey girl, can I get your number?" "Let me just run to my apartment real fast and see if my husband is okay with that!" seriously!?! Can wait to see what ridiculous charges we will get once we move out of here!! The construction starts super early so I hope you aren't looking to sleep in. I swear the construction guys smoke cigarettes in the apartments as they work in them because every time they are working in apartments next door or beneath us our entire apartments smells like cig smoke! On top of that fumes of whatever they are using in construction are overwhelming. Smoke plus STRONG fumes equals HUGE headache!!

My family and I first moved into Tree House apts in 2005. The first couple years we lived here, crime was bad. Someone was stabbed in the complex, someone robbed at gun point, sounds of gunshots were a semi regular occurrence and it was uncommon to hear about attempted break ins or to see broken windows in cars. With the cooperation of the front office and the Schaumburg police the apartments have become a safer place to live, and crime has subsided. The apartments themselves are decent, and are constantly updated if you stay on the managements good side. But be weary if you are younger and would like to entertain guests, or if you have a lot of friends come by. The security guards will take pictures of you and your friends and will give it to the front office to use against you if they want to break your lease, or file complaints against you. Also, a lot of people that live here have lived in the community for a while and therefore have the nosy neighbor mentality(which is to be expected when a community goes through a tough period with crime). Other than that, if you like seeing polluted creeks with ugly banks, people playing basketball until 3 a.m and can deal with the subprofessional front office, Tree house is almost worth the rent(if not just for the location's amazing). Do yourself a favor and check out Village park in Palatine or Versailles in Schaumburg first tho, especially if you are a student or younger person who entertains guests.

When I was searching for an Auite, location was most important and when I choose Tree House Apartments I got that and more. When I was searching I was having a tough time deciding Between Tree House and another place near by. It wasn't just the beautiful rooms and cleanliness the buildings are but it was Kristen the Auite manager who made my decision easy. She made me feel comfortable when I came in for a walk through. I can say now that it didn't just stop after the sale. She has been great, always with a smile on her face, her and the rest of the staff here are all been so nice and easy to deal with.

Oh, yes, you heard me right! I pay close to $1100.00 and my section 8 (------) neighbor pays like $300.00. I would never have moved here if I knew I would have to put up with the noise, garbage, lack of parking, rude staff, high utility bills and crappy section 8 neighbors. Look somewhere else people...ask if they allow section 8 and avoid the Petting if they do!
