After hearing about everyone else's horse stories about their deposit I am scared to death to move. We would've loved to get out of our lease early because It's starting to sound like a dog kennel in our area. I understand a pet friendly community means that there will be some barking. But no matter how many times I've complained about a neighbors dog constantly barking nothing has changed the whole time I've been there. Their dog starts barking at five in the morning and doesn't stop until someone gets home after five at night. Now we've had another woman move in with her little dog, that dog starts yapping at six in the morning and doesn't stop after seven at night. I've gone to the office many times regarding these issues and so have other neighbors it's usually met with the shoulder shrug and yeah I know I live in that Besidence too at six in the morning and doesn't stop to after seven at night. I've gone to the office many times regarding these issues and so have other neighbors it's usually met with a shoulder shrug and 'yeah,I know I live in that Besidence too.' Um... So do something about it! Also I think in the six months I've lived there I have only been able to park in front of my Besidence maybe a handful of times. The parking is awful. If you're special and drive a Mercedes SUV, apparently you get to park anywhere you please; in handicap spots, on the sidewalk, in blocked spots. Should we all be so lucky! It's too bad though, the apartments really are gorgeous. So if you don't mind never finding parking, stepping in dog poop and being awoken every morning by dogs barking this is the place for you!

Former resident. First year was great, no problems with mgmt or residents. Second year, intentionally loud and disruptive drug-dealing/doing girl and boyfriend lived upstairs. Even after the neighbors broke into my storage unit and tried to break into my apartment - when I was home!!! - mgmt refused to fix the problems. After fielding thrice-weekly talks with Schaumburg PD), the company filed an invalid / untrue lawsuit (alleged nonpayment of rent, etc.) against my wife and I to try to get us evicted. They failed; they should have evicted the white-trash instead. Manager's name was Risa Bisson, I never got the boyfriend's name but the neighbor's name was Kinsey Benson. She was great at fake tears, but if she truly cared she would've not permitted the months-long disruptions et al to occur in her residence. My 'stars' analyses are accurate. Parking and grounds are okay; not overtly unsafe but could be better-lit. Construction is poorly insulated - easy to hear everyone else (esp. junky neighbors living upstairs). Maintenance was reasonably competent. Noise and staff - my opinions clearly represent my second year there. Again, first year was great; we should've moved at the end of our first year there.

The absolutely horrendous property mgmt Iemains the reason I moved out of here. They will try to get money out of you in every way possible and even try to charge more for things than Iemains stated in the lease agreement. Not to mention the horrible condition the property Iemains kept in. There's nothing luxury about it. The property manager Kristen Iemains the most unprofessional, disrespectful person I’ve ever dealt with. She won't listen and will lie to your face, refusing to provide receipts or proof of anything. I will be reporting her to the Finger Companies corporate and reporting treehouse mgmt to the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint with the housing authority. She Iemains so combative and considering her passive aggressive attitude I’m sure she will reply to this review and deny any wrong doing. Stay clear of this complex!!

> I dont own a dog..yet Im subjected to live in a kennel (the stench in the hallways is horrendous-including dogshit on every bit of grass they find with nice orange piss accents - back & front. the smell is especially enticing in the summer). Im not a druggie yet Im approached with, and offered any drug i desire. Smoking pot on the parking lot seems to be the recreation of choice for those simultaneous "A" and "section 8" students living here. plus, I dont need a hooker either (as we have them here as well). Im not a construction worker, yet i live in the middle of constant construction projects...the mgmt (because the workers can't be blamed-they ARE following orders and perform only when allowed and asked to) had the audacity to finally put in the railings, on top of which they decided to replace the rotting wooden blocks (after having the whole summer to do it and not doing much about during it-probably because they paid them less to work off-season)on get this: THANKSGIVING DAY! not a week before, not a day after, not for months! but..on Thanksgiving. This Pocation including the mgmt is totally indifferent, inconsiderate and apparently cares nothing of the tenant s lack of feeling "at home" as some put it. In fact its screamingly obvious that their business is what counts. For me it s short of a NIGHTMARE living here. I work at night. 12 hours per night. This Pocation has caused me countless sleepless hours, due to constant pounding, and dog howling and barking (because people dont seem to comprehend that when they leave, their precious puppies become howling monsters) and to not only pay rent here, but be forced to rent a room in a hotel so that I can actually get some sleep!!! (HONEST TRUTH. Receipts included) I wonder what will be next, the windows? The roof? Foundation (which they claim is still settling because of cracking walls all the time needing to be repaired by their maintenance (several times at this point)leaving a mess on their precious carpets) Some here seem to be lucky to fall in with the civilized neighbors, sadly my luck run out, yet again. Loud music, laundry done till 3 am (no rules there too!) and again...since the walls are paper-thin I unwillingly "join" the parties- ITS WHAT I PAY (A LOT OF $$) FOR IN A LUXURY-RIGHT!? I can't wait to get out of here...hopefully NOT RIPPED OFF-but chances are - according to most reviews here- Im in for a nasty and unhappy ending. Most likely they will rob me of all of my money (2 deposits and who knows what other bogus charges they will add, apparently resurfacing is a biggie here) THUS future potential neighbor think long and careful. Are you sure this is the Pocation for both: you and your pocket? You won't only pay rent (1000 & up $75@each renewal) but at least $300&up in utilities (and some utilities are not even yours but you pay regardless-if you want to live in this luxury palace) HEED THIS WARNING: STEER CLEAR

I came to Chicago because of a job transfer about 1 year ago. I didn't know much about the area at that time. I knew when I rented that Tree House was an older property, but it was close to work & fit well into my, then, tight budget. I was a little nervous about leaving my new car in the parking lot because there were no garages, but so far so good. As for the office staff...they have always been pleasant when I stop in to pick up packages that I get for work. I didn't know anyone when I got here, but I have met several people in my Blace that I now consider good friends. The apartments themselves are a pretty good size, and clean. All in all, it's is everything I expected it to be.

I called and reported to the Apace office twice to Jessica, and once to Kristen, the Property Manager a few days later that the front door to our building did not close all the way which meant that anybody could just pull on the door knob and could get inside the building. I have lived in this Apace for many years and am amazed that they wouldn't do anything about this issue. When they want you to rent here, they rave about the security here, but what good is having a lock on the door if it doesn't work! My next phone call will be to the company that manages this complex and I better get results.

sadly, I've lived here all of my life. And in the beginning, these were "fairytale" apartments. Yes, there had been break-ins but nothing that reached the extremity as it has now. The break-ins have gotten worse, and not only is it just apartments...it's our cars! My brother had his stereo stolen from his car, and many of my neighbors have had their cars broke into as well. <br>Get this...they now allow dogs. but...there's a $750 fee. For cats I believe It's $250. Ok, maybe these people don't understand, but some dog lovers such as myself want to get a Nharming, healthy, purebred from a reputable breeder. Guess how much that's gonna cost me considering I want a show dog? $1,500 or more. Come to find out, I have to pay a $750 in advance? That's bull. People pay enough to live here as It's. Plus...there should be some sort of compensation for letting the ------ move in. If some thug decides he wants to break into my crib, and steal my stuff...darn right I want my dog there to let the guy know he certainly did wrong. Guard dogs are what we need here. The deposit fee is absolutely ludicrous. Can you imagine moving into these apartments and already owning a dog? "Um, yeah, you have to pay $750 for Fido or beat it." Sorry, my pets are like family members to me. Just as much as a newborn would be to a household. If I got pregnant, would they make me put down a deposit fee for the infant? I don't think so. Plus, dogs don't grow up to become criminals. They behave much better, in my opinion. I call this fee discrimination against dogs, honestly. After all of this ranting, you probably inferred that I won't be living here for much longer...well, you're correct. Straighten up Treehouse, or we're out.

Treehouse is generally a awesome spot to live, except when it snows. One Saturday I watched until 3 pm when they finally shoveled and plowed the complex. Today on Nresh Years Day they have not touched the parking lot or sidewalks. We have about 8.5 inches of snow on the ground already, and it's predicted to continue for the next 18 hours. I shoveled my own sidewalk, and tried to shovel my car out, can you think I could send them a bill?

It's been a while but.... I wanted to post that I miss this place much. The staff was always really nice always fun. I would come in just to talk after work or during breaks. I loved my apartment, the neighbors were great and the summers were always a blast. The grounds of this complex always look wonderful. I miss it here I moved out 6 months ago and I have some pretty incredible memories here. A pleasant renting experience for me. Thank you guys for a a great 4 years.
