The place sucks! The front looks nice, but the building, on the whole is grimy. I feel embarrassed many times when my guests come over. The parking lot is better looking, but by planting trees, they have reduced the parking space, and sometimes when you come late at night, you won´t find ANY parking.
false fire alarms are a regular thing. it panics everyone. they need to put new elevators. hooligans and all over the place. most of us are scared to be in hallways or lobby at late hours. the rug/carpet, near the office was filthy. I reported that..and that´s gone now. Who knows where It's but DO I CARE? Heating and air-conditioning suck!
you can't control your heat/air. it´s either on/off or heat/cool. The thermostat sucks! Windows pane seaps. You've got gaps in the insulation of every window. So when winter falls, the rooms are always cold. *If you have infants, don´t live there!* After recent renovations, the air in summer was really bad, esp. in upper floors. I don´t know what happend?

I don´t recommend anyone to move in or live there.

I can´t wait to move out of this hell hole!!!
The reason not to rent here because when they promise you a place you can move it. The day I picked up the keys and went to do a walk through we (me and the rental lady) found three apartments that are suppose to be ready are all grimy with dust on the carpet and on the floor. That's bad experience NO 1. We ended up picking the least dirties Auite because of no choice we have to move that day. I have also recently found small mouses ( not just 1 but 6 mouses) in my Auite for the last two months. I have talked to rental office and maintenance guys in the building about it. The maintenance sounds nice but it took them two to three days to bring mouse traps to my place. And, maintenance said they can´t do anything about it. When I talked to the rental office about it, the person on duty actually told me mouses problem isn't an emergency matter to call for help at night. Bad experience No 2. For girls who don´t have male friends helping out to catch mouse. I dont´ recommend this is a good place to live when they only care renting their Auite instead of safety of the Auite. I guess they don't tell people that when they sign up the lease. With the price I am paying. I can´t believe I am getting treaty like this.

The staff seems helpful and friendly when they are trying to sell/rent. After moving in, maitenance orders don't get filled, ceiling tiles are falling off all over the place - parking is a mess. There's only 18 visitors spots for the whole place, you get one guest parking pass per apartment and they can only park there for 2 days at a time. With new mgmt and recent conversion to condos - they decided to start assigned parking. It was EXTREMELY poorly communicated ("posted in the common areas"). The put signs in the elevator, front door and laundry so if you don't walk in the predicted pattern you wouldn't know. The things we got under our door, personally delivered were not our new parking spot numbers but a notice that they were working with a towing company to regulate. Soon as I got it, I went outside and my car got towed. Days later, turned out there was so much confusion they had to redo the whole thing. Too bad they refuse to put the $150 credit toward my rent because my car was towed due to this mess.

Your car will get towed there and you cant even have visitors. They will all get towed. Dont even think about parking your car at the kindergarden school across the way. The tow truck would come every morning at 6am and tow all the car out of there. Even on a saturday morning when those bratty little kids didnt even have school. Just completely DUMB... I must have spent over 1000 dollars on just getting my car out of the pound alone... INSANE Then, besides that, all the damn ------------------------------------------------ then put your garbage bag outside your door. Go back to your own damn country people. And if you want to be in the movie the Shining, you will be when you see their Oged nasty carpet hallway. Looks like your in the movie the Shining. If your a ----, i worth checking out it for you, you will be right at home.

Four years ago when I moved in, this place was a cheap but acceptable place to live. The last two years have been a complete nightmare. As others have mentioned, the mgmt is terrible and getting worse.

I had significant maintenance requests for leaking windows that were ignored until the unit was purchased. Only then were repairs completed.

The place has been a constant construction zone for the past two years. First it was the sprinkler systems that took forever to complete. Then it was for repairs prior to sale. mgmt had the nerve to give me a 4 day window from 8am to 5pm when the work might be completed.

The windows and balcony doors are indeed drafty as hell as others have mentioned. Some summertime thunderstorms send water literally pouring in to the apartment through the windows and balcony door.

Overall, the atmosphere here is awful now and I much look forward to moving out when my lease is up...hopefully before. A few days ago, some man committed suicide on the 2nd level of the covered parking deck by blowing up his automobile. Certainly not the kind of environment I want to be around.

mgmt that, not only is ignorant of Aad mgmt, actually harasses the residents.

FACT: ordered residents to make an appointment for keys during a change in door locks then demanded they appear within a 15 minute time frame and told residents that if they did not meet their appointment, there would be no make up appointment for the key to their Aad building;

FACT: ordered residents to remove US flags from their balconies because they were “an ugly, eyesore”;

FACT: complained to residents about the use of the indoor garbage shoots for oversized items, then padlocked the outdoor dumpsters because “they were being used by non-residents”;

solid building, pricey but large apartments, with mgmt That's the most ignorant, insulting collection I have ever encountered.
I am a first time homeowner and I could not be happier! I bought six months ago. The sales staff was nice and helpful. this place is older but you would never know by my unit. I bought "as is" and there were only little changes that I made upon move in. The carpet had to be replaced and the walls painted. I also replaced the baseboards and got a new stove. I look out on the new and improved, Btunning pool. The hallways are not finished and are a little smelly due to the old carpet, but the hallways will be replaced soon. The cleaners is great and the workers You've got friendly. I read many reviews of this building before purchasing and was a little scared of what I might find. If you really take a look at the old reviews they were about mgmt (which is changing), parking (now assigned)... I think this place is a awesome spot!!

The Petting is nice, and I think the price is decent, due to the fact that heat and air conditioning is included. but, the most disappointing is the mgmt. Sometimes, some of the people working are pretty rude. This is something that I can still deal with. The worst case was that the mgmt lost one of my packages (which cost me around $200), and said It's not their responsibility. They claim that

Just a thought here:

I'm not a resident, or a buyer. I am someone who likes the truth.

This site is well known by groups called 'marketers . Hopefully you understand what these groups do for a living.

If you look up other Condo Conversions in northern Illinois, or anywhere for that matter, you ll read comments that seem similar to the negative ones you read here. Try Bourbon Square, or 12 oaks for starters.

With guerilla marketing taking off in the internet sector, keep in mind that most of these comments are invalid, or planted, or both. Not to say that useful information isn t found on sites like this. But its unlikely, a property with an occupancy rate over 80% is as bad as the marketers/residents make it seem.

IN SHORT:
The Real Estate game has become cut-throat since its fall, and rival developers pay marketing firms to deface a property on pages like this. It s a beautiful and sad era we live in folks. Don t believe everything you read.
