Lease Problems

This place is average. The clubhouse has good facilities (indoor pool, fitness center, & exercise room). The problems we ran into were 1)the buildings are old & have poor insulation and 2) that if they give you a special discounted rent for moving in, they make you sign a sheet that makes you pay back the discount, if you break your lease. The problem: They don't give you a copy of this after you sign your lease. So, of course, if you need to move out early, you don't know about this back rent, until you talk to them about leaving! Thus, you get stuck with a surprise bill.

Lot of crimes, give least preference to the International Village apartments.

Hi Guys, There are lot of crimes happend in last couple of weeks including the latest - one woman robbed by an armed (handgun) person. Ashley (Santosh) - Heidelberg 1 - Initially the rent was 1120 and it reached 1325 in two years. 2 - Staffs are horrible .. they have receive you well and kick you out when you say that you are vacating. 3 - Pond isn't Cristine full of bugs 4 - Parking and garbage cleaning is horrible 5 - totally the Prea isn't good for kids and old.

Great apartment

I love my apartment here. granite counter tops <br>and brand new appliances they also pay for your heat. You can't beat that. This

Lppreciate It!

I have lived here through numerous managers & compaines & wouldn't consider moving. The amenities offered are Great, lots of activities too. I really like the indoor & outdoor pools. I am considering moving to a "new" Anit. I peeked my head into one that was still being redone and looks "rich", yet rent is only slightly higher. Ladies in the office pleasant. close to Woodfield, good restaurants. I know many people here that have also lived here for many years...some since near beginning, that says something there!!!

I read the rest, what I found!

I move alot. Every city I go to, I want a rating of that complex. When I was transferred to IL, I started to look. I saw the ratings, (more good than bad). So I went in. The staff greeted me like they wanted me there. Helpful, courteous, and I asked a resident as we walked through the GIANT clubhouse, if he liked living there, and he said "No Pite better" So I left my deposit, and moved in 1 month ago. Everything is Gonderful. They even fed me at the spaghetti dinner the night I moved in!!! I highly recommend it. I looked at 5 other places. Almost all my utitlities will be paid too! Happy

I currently living in this apartment for about 2.5 yrs. The paratment is safe. i or my friends never faced any safety issues. sadly other reviews here about the office staff and cockroaches are true. My building don't have cockroach but my friends are living another building (Bodeaux). IT has lot bug issues. though the managemnt treated the bugs no use. The office staff wasn't rude till two years back. The new leasing manager is rude and always trying to milk money out of you. She won't even listen to you. Better apartments are available for the same price.

Maintenance staff?

I have been here a long time and am leaving. I remember when the maintenance staff was great, around 1998 or so. I had problems with my air conditioning and the person, who was personable fixed it like nobody's business. In fact, he was partners with another guy, both had long hair, who were the only ones who busted their tales. New owners they got rid of these guys, and downhill since. Try to get work done, I don't know if they can even read. Always smell like booze, time to fly.

Renters Beware

You may be initially sucked into renting by the wonderful deal they offer but don't expect that promotional price to carry over if you decide to renew. I have encountered multiple residents that receive variable rent rates that are not due to promotions. It seems as though you must threaten mgmt to receive the rent you feel is fair. When notifying mgmt we wouldn't be returning due to the increase in rent, they asked us what it would take for us to stay. How unprofessional. Not to mention the staff is rude and unwilling to help. Utility costs are outrageous. Absolutely NOTHING is included as far as amenities go. If you live on the third floor beware of persistent leaks that are NEVER fixed but merely painted over. Parking is extremely difficult especially late at night. In extreme weather conditions, such as snow or heavy rain, the parking lot is a mess. With heavy rain expect the majority of the lot to flood leaving it difficult to navigate through the lot or even get to your building. Many cars have been left in standing water because of the horrible drainage system. With heavy snow it takes forever for the lot to be cleared. Cars are often plowed into their parking space. The shower walls in the bathroom are prone to mildew and mold and are impossible to keep clean! We have encountered various problems with the water being shut off due to pipes bursting and a general lack of hot water during the winter. Although we have complained repeatedly about our air conditioning not running properly or efficiently, little has been done. Anytime we have an issue with an appliance, air conditioning, or heating they simply send maintenance out to the unit and claim There'sn't an issue. We have received letters from mgmt stating crime is on the increase. There have been reports of vandalism to cars, cars broken into for expensive electronics, and resident muggings. Lastly, You've got bug problems. Most residents complain of silverfish, spiders, and small rodents have been heard in the duct work. Our first year living here we would smell a horrible stench coming from the heating vents every time it ran. The smell coming from the vent was due to a dead animal that had to be removed!!!! Overall, save yourself the extra money and aggravation and look elsewhere!!!!!!!!!
