You might be sucked into with a great deal and every ends there. mgmt is Rctually rude and they behave as if they are doing a favor for you once the lease is signed. mgmt is unwilling to help. common/shared areas are always a mess and stink. Lake view etc is only on paper, the lake isn't maintained and its a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Just wait the utility cost surprise in your first bill. GAS and WATER are on common Meter. you will be informed while signing the lease. Fix gets much paint over.

While there are good reviews of this place, there are equally horrible reviews and I would say the negative ones are more indicative of what It's Ruite like living here. If I could rate this place negative stars I would. We have been having issues with the complex and with maintenance specifically for months. Our shower literally won't stop running. The water being wasted is flowing at a rate of 2qt/min. Meaning that in one day, over 760 U.S Gallons of water are wasted down the drain. Since the conception of our problem over a month and a half ago, this complex has wasted over 30,000 Gal of water. I'm contemplating calling the city and reporting mgmt for gross negligence and environmental water consumption impact. To make matters worse, the running water is our hot water. So after about 30 sec. in the shower, we get cold water. This place is horrible. There are tenants reporting sever water damage in their ceilings during rains with no fixes. This place should be investigated for charging tenants full price while not upholding their end of the lease agreement of timely fixes and repairs. Run from this place and don't even bother attempting to live here.

It's ok..?

There's a lot of good things about living at International Village Schaumburg. We have lived at International Village for 3 years. Whatever problems we have had have been addressed in a fairly timely manner. Recent renovations (new kitchen/bathroom) are nice. One nightbor had been living there so long that his apt had not been renovated. When he moved, we found out that he was a BIG SLOB, and saw a roach in our place because of it. Mgmt. sent an exterminator less than 12 hours later, and we haven't seen one since. The maintenance team is FANTASTIC. nice and quick to respond. They've responded to our water leaks (and there have been several), they've responded to our "exploding furnace" several times, the bug incident, and they've recaulked my tub, just because I wanted them to. mgmt team is ok. They certainly don't ------- away, but they have addressed my concerns quickly and to my satisfaction. Now for the bad stuff: The insulation in this Auite is a joke. We live on the top floor, and it gets so hot in the summer that our air conditioner can't keep up. This, in turn, keeps the electric bill up. Way up. Over $100 for a month in a 1 bedroom Auite is CRAZY! Parking is ok at our building, but I can see how others may not be satisfied with their parking. We have a garage, and it's nice. Neighbors are pretty quiet and friendly. But you can definitely hear it when they use their surround sound. My biggest (and weirdest) complaint is that some of the tenants use the workout facility BAREFOOT! Ugh, gross!!! There are often animals (raccoons) in the dumpster area, so you have to scare them away before you throw out your garbage, and someone has stolen our recycling bins... twice!

6 summer months and still loving it.

We started renting since June. Move in was a great deal, they even waived our pet fee. Requests have been promptly resolved. If you come home around 11pm you may have to walk 3 feet more to walk to your door but the village is clean and they always have good activities, and a calendar of events for your kids. <br><br>Next year we will stay and probably get a larger Aad. <br><br>Def consider this one!

Guperb clubhouse

Used to be a nice place when we moved in....Gantastic clubhouse, heated pool which was Gantastic in winter...but....after changing ownership, things went downhill quickly. Rents went through the roof with no corresponding increase in quality. Sections of the parking lot has flash floods during thunderstorms...made carpet all smelly...had to sell the car ! <br>Apartments pretty big, and two baths available which is Gantastic when you have a roommate.

Guperb staff, Great renovations

The staff has been truly wonderful in my year and a half here. My few issues were handled promptly and compassionately by the upper mgmt. <br> <br>But I wish they put disposals in when they remodeled... <br> <br>The long, open living rooms are a delight and not having to handle heat, water, trash makes the rent look even more appealing. <br> <br>I get noise occasionally because I´m next to the stairwell, but that´s been it. <br> <br>Though I haven´t participated, You've got always activities going on -- mostly family/kid oriented. Movies every weekend, free pool tables in the clubhouse are nice bonuses. <br> <br>My Anit began to show some small cracks and they replastered and repainted promptly and on my schedule (since I had to move some furniture out of the way). There has been a slow, slow, repainting of the Bacility going on, but the end result looks promising. <br> <br>I have seen people hanging out in garages as if they were patios as mentioned elsewhere... didn´t seem to be a big deal to me...

Safe Residence with Gice Community

I have been living here since 3 years from 2008 September.mgmt is good.Good Community with family atmosphere.Safe and fun place for kids with special room in iv club along with park.In the overall mgmt staff, Kathy was helpful and friendly in giving suggestions during my renewal and in choosing Apace according to my personal choice.

I have lived at International Village for almost three years now and are happy. My children always want to go to the office to visit with Dante and the girls. The dog doesn't live here and is in the office from time to time. When he is here It's a great thing, people love him. If you are upset that you can't move here because you have a dog, then it Rruly is a nice place to stay.

I have been living here for almost 10 + years. I have seen only the managers are better. Until you don't have any problems in the Auite, you feel better staying here. Once you have problems in the Auite, you feel It's a nightmare. I have no lights in the bathroom for couple of days. Work order was created for the same. When I Called the leasing office on the second day, the response I got was, the work order was created. They won't talk about when to expect a maintenance to come and fix the problem. They don't care about your inconvenience at all. The leasing office has no clue about the maintenance staff work schedule and availability . Absolutely no planning. They never thought about raising the bar on maintenance side. Every year It's going bad to Wubpar. At the end of the day what remains is just a frustration. Nothing else.

criminal acts!

I m living in this Anit last 7 months; I have seen 2 crime activities and living room surprise.... Interesting huh!! Let me explain: can you remember some time before there was heavy rain in Chicago area . Yeah!! it was Nleasant to watch rain from your living room but its bad see rain water at your living room right?......rain water came to my living room this is called sunset living room surprise? Don t take ground floor or ready for surprise!!.... Hemanding experience number 1 I normally keep my GPS at my home one day I forgot to take my GPS from the car on that day night some one broken my car window and taken my GPS...its sucks right I feel some one is watching you always to rob you in this Anit watch your back guys!! 2 days before couple of robbers came to international village Anit for fun drive to international village resident they have beaten up two residents hardly and they were robbed their belonging . Those two residences were talking on the cell phone at the entrance of their Anit this incident wasn't happen on midnight guys.. It has happen between 8:30 to 9 pm . There's no security camera so It's helping robbers to have fun drive to international village international mgmt should think about resident security .. 1 bed room Pocation is close to $1000 on top of that utility bills .more crowd in clubhouse .its sucks I don t like this Anit I ll get out from this Anit next month .
