ROACHES EVERYWHERE!!!! I go get my mail on the first floor... roaches! I get my laundry on the second floor.... more roaches.... and I live on the third floor with guess what? MORE ROACHES!!! They just freely walk around now, even in the day sometimes. No matter how many times you call the office about this problem it won't be fixed. I have been dealing with this a little less than a year and you would think they care. The office staff is rude and ignorant! They don't know anything about customer service nor about running an apartment complex. This place desperately needs new staff!!! If you want to pay a fortune to live with roaches and have your apartment falling apart because its so old this place is for you!!!! They should have invested in fixing up these raggedy apartments instead of the club house!

I just relocated from Florida, and I was looking forward to moving into International Village. I wasnt allowed to move because of my 10 Lb dog;Yet there was a dog that jumped at my ankles while walking into the office. His name was Dante!who hapened to be the managers dog that pooped all over the office.

I felt that I've been descriminated against, and I shall follow up with my lawyer regarding this matter.

First I would like to say that every thing I wrote in my original review was an honest opinion of the situation at that time and the problems I was having REALLY DID HAPPEN.

The staff and maintenance has improved much since 2001. Now when I call for maintenance It's taken care of almost immediately or they will make an appointment around my schedule (really nice of them). The maintenance crew are really nice and try to be as helpful as possible. Although, I think that they lack some skills to do some of the work the first time (they have retiled different sections of my shower 3 times now).

And as the writer of 10/19/2002 pointed out It's costs way too much to live in this area, $1200 is about the average for a 2 bedroom (we found that out when we looked for somewhere else to live). But it all depends on your point of view. We moved here from FL where I paid $550 per month for a 1200 sq. ft. apartment with the same amenities as IV. So, at that time I believed that if I was paying $1200 a month, EVERYTHING should be perfect. And I still think that no matter how much (or how little) you pay your roof should not be leaking for weeks and nothing gets done (except that you have to empty a bucket twice a day).

THERE WAS a serious lack of communication between mgmt and maintenance! That isn't the case now.

We now have high speed internet connection provided by StarnetWX and it really cooks! It's 49.95 a month.

The cable, now provided by TVMax, still sucks and the problems are the same as in my original review.

I don´t understand why the writer of 10/19/2002 review had such a little fit after reading my review. It´s funny that he/she wrote, "I don’t think this complex has ANY problems." and then in the same paragraph wrote, "And lets face it, whether you live in an apartment or own a home...you ALWAYS have problems!" So, which is it? This place has no problems or every place has issues?

I still think $100 is too much to pay for a garage.

Overall, it has improved to the point where I worth checking out it to a friend.
I have lived here for almost a year now. As far as the view from the place is concerned it really depends on which Btructure you are in.. but it does offer a lovely view with geese & a pond from some of the buildings. The staff is helpful but not particularly friendly. The maintainence I would rate as average at best - sometimes they re efficient at other times they take days to look into something. The best part about this place is the clubhouse. Its always teeming with people, has loads of activities though the gym/pool facilities are okay (not great!). The neighbours are basically friendly & polite. The renovated apartments are good but you might have problems regarding laundry since its common and quite busy for the most part! Except for the quirky maintainence, bad gym equipment & the fact that only some apts have a good view - I would rate this an overall good.

I was just surfing and came upon this site. I lived there for 2 years and enjoyed it a lot. I can´t believe some of the things written here. They seem a little far fetched or exaggerated. My Auite was fine. No complaints at all. Never had many issues for maintenance but what I did request was done same day. Office staff helpful and nice and Gxcellent clubhouse and staff. Lots of activities. I highly recommend. Only left because I was transferred for my job out of that state. I would go back in a minute!! Made alot of friends there.

This apartments are not safe..every year lots of mugging takes Pite..but mgmt dos't take any action,if we call them they say it's not our responsibility.yes you ar not responsibile for mugging but you are responsibile for providing safty for residence. There's no proper lighting around the buildings and in parking lots, can't you provide that for residence

If you get ----- on the phone, hang up and call back until you get someone else. She will laugh and act like your buddy and then when you need something done, she will blow you off. It's frustrating to continue calling and asking her for anything. All the other girls are Guperb and legit. I don't know why ----- is still there. She could careless about any of the tenants.

I have lived in multiple apartment complexes around the neighborhood. This is the worst. 1. mgmt: Signed a lease for a 2 bedroom with a $200 off special. 3 months after I signed and moved in, I am told that the special doesn't apply and I have to pay the difference for the 3 months and the increased rent for the rest of the lease term. The way they notify you is to stick a termination note on your door to embarrass you in front of your neighbors despite it being the mgmt's fault on giving the leasing special. 2. Parking: Good luck if you arrive after 9:00 PM. I typically drive around for 10 minutes and land up parking in the other end of the complex and walk for 10 minutes despite living in apartment complex with parking. 3. Maintenance: They enter your unit without informing you. I was about to call the police to report a break in only to find out It's the maintenance. 4. Move out: Take pictures of everything before you move out. I was charged $400 for stains on the carpet despite it being on the move in sheet. This is the worst complex to live in Schaumburg. Please spare yourself the trouble and let your friends know as well.

You've got various Criminal Acts reported recently and i would definitely like to Warn Natest rentars to be aware before considering this. The acts of hostility is increasing and the mgmt is more interested in washing their hands off rather than looking at the security. I would like you to look for more safer places in Schaumburg area rather than looking for a criminal locality like this one
