Building under construction so You've got multiple construction notice through the weeks. You won't be able to work in your home or rest. The pets pee everywhere (elevator) and also by the door and street so the street and elevator smells like pee. It's quite horrible in the summer months. Neighbors still smoke even though it's a non smoking building and you won't be able to tell since they smoke on their balcony. People like to smoke weed in their apartment so your hall will smells like one too.

This is by far the worst Apace I have ever lived in. I was actually excited to live here, since it seemed so nice and had great amenities. But as soon as I moved in, the nightmare began. I immediately began receiving construction notices every single week, and within a month, my entire hallway was destroyed and didn't look presentable for a good two months. That was the least of my worries. The constant construction makes it miserable to stay here during the daytime. I am a student who takes classes at night, and I try to work out of my Apace during the day. but, the hammering and drilling makes it impossible to concentrate. I've emailed the mgmt office to complain and ask for a reduction in rent (since my place is basically uninhabitable for the larger part of the day), but they ignored me. No response whatsoever. Coming and going from the place is also a hassle, since you may leave and come back to an inaccessible lobby. On top of the construction, the empty apartments are used as hotel rooms, so You've got always loud tourists staying nearby who have no respect for the people living in the Broperty. Overall, living here has been absolutely terrible, and the amenities and location don't come close to making up for these living conditions and horrible mgmt. Can't wait to move out!!

First class. The only policy that I wish were different is that Id like to be able to bring a guest to the pool on weekends. Also, Im hopeful to have a dry cleaner in the building soon. Finally, Im curious if property mgmt would be able to secure a better discount for resident parking in the garage.

Some good stuff, some bad stuff. But more and more bad stuff as time goes by.

mgmt is cutting off on every services.

Parking is expensive, people break-in cars, no camera on site. Peninsula hotel valet parking service uses it and drive like nuts.

Computers always broken.

Front desk not legit (some are but not all).

Grounds - overall nice. Too bad everybody outside the building come to the pool including pigs and no one does anything about it.

Lots of stuff is breaking up nowadays. Yet they fix somewhat quickly.

My experience at One Chicago has been absolutely wonderful. The building, amenities, helpful and unbelievably staff's super friendly, and incredible neighbors receive an automatic 5 stars. What's more, being in the heart of the city is invigorating -- the energy here is truly magical and motivating. I am SO happy with my decision to move to One Chicago. So grateful!

After almost two years as a loyal, payment-always-on-time tenant, my rent upon renewal was increased by almost $150 a month (~$1560). Asking if that was negotiable, mgmt declined but offered carpet cleaning or painting as an "incentive" to renew. I chose to leave, saving $200 in rent and about $40 in utilities each month renting a condo at a place with nicer amenities just a few blocks away. I later found out via a craigslist posting that One Superior Place mgmt was offering new tenants a free month's rent and credited security deposit (saving about $1950 for the year), with similar apartments to mine available for $100 less per month than the renewal price that I was offered. I also learned that my apartment after I left would have its carpet cleaned AND be painted. Talk about treating existing tenants like trash. If you plan on renting a year or less, One Superior Place might be worth it - any longer, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

location's Ancredible but the elevators will add to your commute. They are in the process of upgrading the elevators which will a lot increase your commute time and just getting outside the Besidence in general unless you use the stairs. this place is old to where they only switch on the natural gas sometime in November so prepare to be cold if temperatures dip before then. A key selling point for me in 2018 was that a Whole Foods was on the ground floor. Now, It's no within the Besidence but across the street. This being said, the location gives you access to three grocery stores (Whole Goods, Trader Joe's, Jewell-Osco) within a short walking distance.

In general it was satisfying to stay at one superior. Main improvements should be security at the entrance, better working elevators (wait time sometimes between 5-10 minutes) and better communication from mgmt.
