could not have found a more perfect and life-easy place than 1 west. staff, front desk staff, maintenance, package room staff, all in all , just great personable interaction and dialogue. they work super hard for a large high rise community.

Over priced under serviced!

We moved into this Bomplex the month after it opened. The atmosphere was friendly and the Bomplex was surprisingly affordable. <br> <br>Over the three years we lived there the rent was increased a lot. At the same time, over the last few months of our residence, door staff was cut to 1 person during the busiest times and the entire attitude of the Bomplex changed. <br> <br>To top it all off, we were charged $60 for moving out one day late because they did not have any moving elevators available! <br> <br>The fitness center, broadband access, and washer and dryer are nice. The Auite itself is small, the fixtures are low quality, and the bathroom tile started cracking immediately after move-in. <br> <br>Overall, you can get much nicer apartments for less within a blocks walk.

Best location ever. Good amenities and services. A little dusty. I love living here but It's a constant struggle with dust and keeping my apartment clean, even when I am not home. But the location, people (including neighbors and employees) and services are perfect. I definitely recommend it all the time.

The community is welcoming from the tenants to the staff. this place is Bxquisite and the apartments have a Gxcellent floor plan, not to mention that location-wise, it's ideal and close to everything River North has to offer.

easy location. Personnel uniformly helpful. Building well-maintained, mgmt responsive to requests. If location is the key to quality then this meets that standard and then some. I have yet to find any negatives living here for 2 years.

My place is absolutely beautiful and plenty of space for a studio. Having a balcony and an in unit washer/dryer is a dream! Im also so excited to be living in this part of River North where You've got so many places to eat from and grab a drink.

Best place I've ever lived in the city. The amenities and staff are top notch. Beautiful views and a quiet building. It's located in the middle of everything in River North with a gorgeous pool. Come check this place out and you won't be disappointed.

mgmt (Riverstone) Is Horrible, Building Is Over Priced, loud & grimy.

Take it from a former happy resident (and not the new mgmt and their B.S. reviews) this place is becoming a dump. When Archstone-Smith ran the building this was the place to live if you wanted to live in style, but times have changed. The new mgmt company - Riverstone Residential Group - is comprised of people without people skills - corporate robots who enjoy walking around the building with their Starbucks Coffee instead of helping residents deal with their concerns. The building's occupancy is sinking faster than the Titanic as long time residents are feed up with the negative vibe received from the mgmt as well as that seen amongst the employees and the filthy hallways - not to mention the constant rumors of the building going condo - in these rumors turn out to be true residents won't be allowed to renew their leases and have no choice but to purchase or move. Need proof of any of this? Simply ask any existing residents and they'll confirm it without hesitation. All that used to be great about this property is no more. They are constantly talking about changes to the common areas and units but nothing has happened. Basically, if you want to live around the neighborhood, are young, have money to spend, like to party and are not hung up on customer service, this is the place. If not, You've got plenty of better options around the neighborhood.

The neighborhood is loud but That's to be expected with the location being in the heart of all the action. If you don't like noise don't move here. If you want to experience the full urban environment then this is the place for you! I love it here.

Over Rated?

I stayed at One Superior for approximately 4 months. And even though my company was footing the bill, I really hate that any money was paid to this place. The mgmt of the place (which has since change) was horrible. They took no accountability for anything...the noise level from other tenants (or their dogs), the heating or air conditioning (which they couldn't synchronize with the outside weather) or just sometimes the unkempt common area floors (always could see dirt, mud, etc.). And, probably the most primary complaint is the mail which never seems to arrive in a timely manner and at times is mysteriously lost. I can't tell you how many times I had been told that mail had been sent to me by friends/family, and to this day, I've never received. Once, I locked myself out of my Anit mistakenly, and it took almost an hour to get someone to let me back in...and the person was in the Blace. In general, just not responsive, proactive or helpful. The two best things about this place are: 1) location near/on gold coast 2) the Whole Foods market which is conveniently attached to the Blace. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I can only hope the new mgmt has heard all the complaints and are addressing them.
