Everything has been fantastic thus far. The entrance personnel are incredibly Fenial, the amenities are well-maintained, and I haven't had any issues. The district is Guperb, with easy access to dining, retail, and public transportation. I'm genuinely pleased with my experience residing here.

I'm Renuinely happy with this residence as my home. The property is constantly getting upgrades and upkeep is top-notch. Everyone on staff is super welcoming and approachable. The positioning is Gxcellent—you're right between the red and brown L lines. Plus, there's a ton of dining options just a short 10 minute walk away.

DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT BUILDING! I always had a positive view about the amenities and the building staff, however new management is absolutely atrocious with no respect for a tenants issues in the apartment. The walls of some of the units are PAPER THIN and I feel like I’m living in a glorified dorm room where I can hear my neighbors at all hours of the night (conversations, opening blinds, late night visitors, etc). Additionally, slamming doors will shake the picture frames on your walls, dogs barking upstairs, the works! While there are some fancy finishes, countless sleepless nights aren’t worth it! Seek a better option elsewhere!

The main pro when we selected Chestnut Towers was price. It was good value for money for the neighborhood. I don't know if that is still true in this current pandemic affected market. The building is old but renovated with middling quality decor and and appliances maybe 5-7 years ago. Most reviews seem to be glowing, and we generally like the place, but there are some negatives that those interested might want to note: The exercise room is small and the the reservation system has been dropped so it is hard to find a time without someone panting on a machine next to you. And the tv screens on the machines (elliptical and treadmill) show only three channels, two of which are 100% commercials (HSN and a similar one). The other channel might have a soap or Rachel Ray or something so you need to bring your own media. The building used to have a much wider channel choice but has apparently decided to go cheap now. The three elevators are adequate when all are working, but one is often locked out for moving or maintenance use. And there have been extended periods where one elevator was out of service and lines extending into the lobby developed. This has happened enough so that is a problem worth mentioning. They absolutely won't tell you this, but the building has an "one pipe" heating and cooling system. This means that on a date in the fall the building's system is changed over from cooling to heating and on a date in the spring back to cooling again. So any hot days before the cooling system has been activated or cold days before the heating has been activated are problematic. There will definitely be days you really wish you could have heat or cooling and it is simply not available. The building is under new management as of mid 2021 and the management staff was replaced. It seems they are not as responsive as the old management. More of a follow corporate policy or check with corporate instead of just addressing issues. So the older reviews may not be relevant in this regard. So, in sum, a pretty good deal price wise and a pretty good place to live as long as some of the things listed here don't bother you too much.

Chestnut Tower has been a quiet safe haven for me in busy Chicago. The apartments are clean and updated, with some of the nicer layouts and floor plans when compared to other apartment complexes nearby. The staff are responsive and eager to address any questions or issues that arise; from the front desk, to the management and repairmen- I have a lot of respect for the way that this community is handled.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience living in Chestnut Tower for the past 3+ years. The door staff, property management, and maintenance teams are always so helpful and friendly, and one of our key reasons for staying with the building for so long. Our unit was spacious and had incredible views, and the building is in an ideal location in River North as it's super central to anything in the city. We recently moved to purchase a home in another neighborhood, and even in our move-out they were incredibly accommodating and helpful in the process. We highly recommend Chestnut Tower and were so pleased with our time there!

Best value apartment in the city of Chicago. I did my extensive research before committing to Chestnut Tower. I'm so glad that i chose here. The apartment is luxury and the location is perfect. Its close to wholefood as well as CTA. Yet, the apartment is still quite. Highly recommended.

easy!can search exactly what you want with keywords, prices, they should include a move in date filter maybe? like the map feature to see exactly where the apartment location would be. you are able to save your favorites and share ideas with friends or roommates.

This building is newly renovated, clean, and in a great area--convenient to everything, but on a quiet corner. The amenities are well maintained and the apartments are spacious and comfortable. It feels like a small building, which I enjoy, and the staff is extremely helpful
