This apartment has great facilities and the staff is fantastic. There are so many parks nearby along with the beach, which is great in the summer. The rooftop and gym are great and everyone in the building is very friendly.

It's a good community. Walking distance to the lake, school, and parks. Great public transportation for work nearby. The view from the rooftop is nice too. The maintenance staff is responsive and gets the job done.

I first chose this place as the building of preference from Reside was full and not allowing new tenants. I was moving back to the city and needed a place close to transit for work. This was the place I selected and it was run by Reside which in my past experience did a good job in the last building I lived in. While the actual building appears to be nice, the living situation getting worse for me and I am glad I moved. I kept getting sick, even in the first week of me moving in which was the fall, because the apartment, while spacious, was always cold. There was a draft coming from the closets. After numerous requests to get the heating improved, it didn't help. The issue was that the heater never turned on. And when it did, it was only for 20 minutes and then I would go hours without it going on. The next issue was the noise level. The walls are thin and my neighbors were loud. I could hear everything. This no fault of management but the upper tenant on the floor above me was walking at all over in the middle of the night. I kept filing noise complaints for the disturbances overnight as I had to wake up early for work each day. Then there was the bugs, worse in the summer. Maybe it was where my apartment was located, but I would always have spiders crawling on my walls. It freaked me out, because I would be sleeping and I would see something on the wall. These were not small spiders! I moved out because I got tired of living there and heat utility rate went off for something that never worked in my apartment. I glad I moved out because I heard the water leak in the building afterwards. Please know that this is an old building so I knew that moving in so I was not expecting a luxury building the main reasons for me moving was the lack of climate control (too cold (it's an old school water boiler setup with radiated not centralized heat), too hot (there is a fee to install your own A/C or to rent a unit), poor ventilation), the bugs, and increasing safety issues. People were not suppose to using the fire escape stairs but they do it anyways.

Overall, I've enjoyed living here. Here are the major perks in my opinion: Awesome maintenance team, in-unit dishwasher, gas bill included, online resident portal, clean property overall, fitness center, relatively updated appliances, close to the lake, close to Lake Shore Drive. Here are the drawbacks in my opinion: Small units for the cost, parking nearby can be really difficult, no free air conditioning, it's an older building so there are problems like pipes breaking or paint/plaster breaking off relatively frequently. I've been affected by two plumbing-related flooding incidents that have directly impacted my unit in the 4 years of living here. Also I've found that while the area is pretty quiet and close to the lake, there doesn't seem to be a ton to do in close walking distance -- most of the bars/restaurants I like are a long walk away.

So far I love it here! I fell in love with my apartment the second I saw it, and it's the perfect space for me and my two cats. I love the building, the area is so quiet and lovely, and I am very happy to be here.

Everything was fine prepandemic. The building needs to spray for bugs (spiders, centipedes) rent reduction due to the pandemic limitations should be given. Also my stove doesn't open all the way-unacceptable

Fantastic building. Been here 3 years and don't plan on moving. Building is always clean and staff is very attentive and friendly. My apartment is a very comfortable floorplan, updated, and has large walk-in closet.

Reside on Clarendon has been a great apartment to live in, the common areas are always clean, it has great amenities and the location is incredible. Maintenance always does a great job handling service requests and they are super friendly.

I have always enjoyed this community; the turnover in management and lack of leadership has affected my enjoyment. Maintenance inside the building has deteriorated as well as any supervision aimed at any improvement.
