I love the apt, and rent is not terrile for my amazing view of the lake and montrose harbor. (2000 for a 3 bedroom on the 18th flr). The bedrooms are pretty large for a Chicago Apt. Although the apt is great, the staff is not. Fran, the front lady, is a *itch. I have had many run-ins with her, and the maintenace is good until it really counts. They are great about fixing small stuff, but when my tub started shooting out dirty water from the drain on a sunday afternoon, they didn't come until Mon night, and only after i threatend a lawsuit. The reasoning was because I had a second bathroom and it wasn't an "emergency". WHAT? I think water spewing out of the tub drain with water filling your tub qualifies as an emergency. The other help had no intrest in answering my new roomates questions about the apt, after she signed the lease. The excuse that Fran gave me for her poor customer service is that, she is not here to help the current tenants, only to sign new leases...again, WHAT? She is still representing BJB and should be respectful of a new tenant nervous about moving here from CA. One girl on here said we should give Fran a break because she has to handle the whole apt...but she knows her job, and if she can't do it, she shouldn't have taken it, or she needs to find a new job, and tell BJB to get someone else. Granted being a manager for 19 flrs in hard, but we still need our stuff taken care of. Great Apt. Terrible staff.

They deal with maintenance issues right away, often times same-day. Customer service from 9-5 Mon-Fri is great, evenings and weekends may require some bilingual skills or leaving a note. I lucked out and ran into the building emergency guy one time. Here's the number to call if, for example, one evening/weekend the ceiling over your bathtub starts gushing water - 773.248.3800. (They fixed the unit above us and it hasn't happened again yet) Parking is my only real issue. $200-225/month for tiny spaces, but hey supply and demand I guess. Nowhere in the neighborhood is much better. A little difficult too when entertaining. Beware of the Disney School $6 lot - I have been towed before at no fault of my own. AND DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR IN THE FRONT DRIVE UNATTENDED. The tow guys drive the street all day and can hook up your car to their truck and drive away in literally 2-minutes flat. I have seen it happen while waiting for the elevator... and it has happened to pizza delivery guys. Thanks for reading!

Personally, I thought this was a great apartment. I am being forced to move out by my school into another school-sponsered apartment, but would have gladly stayed in this one. Problems were quickly dealt with and Fran is really nice. While there are some crazy college students living here, for the most part it is alright. There was only one time when it got bad (the students across the hall decided to have a crazy loud 'disco party'), but that wasn't the apartment's fault. I would say go for it.

Some of the residents that are young and immature could be writing these reviews. Overall this apartment complex is very nice.
