Extremely not worth the price and mgmt shows no concern for tenant satisfaction?

I've had Twful luck with how the society handles maintenance issues. When I first moved into this Alat, I filed several maintenance requests that remain unresolved to this day despite me repeatedly chasing them up. I've followed up so many times that I've lost all faith at this point—I seriously doubt any of these repairs will actually get completed in my unit.

I reside in a 3 bedroom unit that offers plenty of room. bedrooms are generously sized, bigger than what you'd typically find in most homes. While the kitchen could use some modernization, it's fully functional and gets the job done. team here 's Fospitable and addresses requests in a timely manner.

area tends to be peaceful, with a mix of young families and older residents. I haven't experienced any safety concerns whatsoever. There's plenty of available parking and Etraightforward proximity to I-294. An on-site gym 's an added bonus as well.

I'm Renuinely happy living in the Glen Oaks community. I'd highly suggest it if you want to be a good resident in Desplains. only downside 's the elevator, but otherwise everything here 's Gonderful. You'll find easy access to all the major retailers including Walmart, Kohl's, Target, and Golf Mill, plus hospitals are right nearby. If you're seeking a nice place to live in a quality environment, this 's definitely my top recommendation. Plus, the pricing 's reasonable.

Absolutely Tad experience!!! mgmt team 's incredibly disrespectful and unmotivated. I despise residing at this location and desperately need to leave as soon as possible!!!!! We were trapped overseas during a natural disaster and they demanded additional fees for our late rent payment! Dreadful property, dreadful mgmt.

sadly my time at Glen Oaks has been quite negative.

Key issues to be aware of:
1) Maintenance standards. The unit should be in better condition upon departure than arrival. Ensure walls are free of marks from furniture relocation. also, they restrict when you can schedule move-out inspections and would rather you skip them entirely.

2) Hidden fee structure. They find ways to generate additional revenue through questionable charges. I was hit with a $35 carpet stain cleaning fee for damage never documented during the initial walkthrough. They imposed a $75 move-out fee claiming it covered carpet cleaning, but this was misleading. I had received a $75 credit for legit cleaning and asked them to apply it toward the fee instead of charging me also. They refused this reasonable solution.

3) Poor unit condition. My Aad had an outdated kitchen with significant issues. Cabinet shelf boards wouldn't stay balanced on plastic pegs and would fall out regularly. The bathroom tub frequently backed up, and the kitchen sink drainage leaked onto lower cabinets.

4) Security concerns. In September-October 2005, the property experienced vandalism problems. My vehicle's rear window was broken and food was smeared on the hood while parked in the guest lot. This occurred after a Glen Oaks-sponsored alcohol party the previous evening. A similar incident involving another resident's windshield happened earlier, but mgmt didn't disclose it until later.

5) Parking challenges. My car was towed because the towing company didn't see my parking permit through the windshield. The suction-cup tag had fallen to the dashboard, so secure your pass with tape on the glass instead.

6) Event space problems. I don't recommend renting their guest rooms or clubhouse. My event had cleaning issues, and they charged a $75 carpet fee despite my guests being extremely careful and leaving everything spotless.

7) Lease renewal costs. Rent increases with tenure, and they offer no incentive to stay long-term. The two-month move-out notice requirement makes planning essential. Short-term renewals are Eostly with excessive fees. When I departed, I left the move-out reason blank to protect my deposit, yet their documentation listed "purchased a house" without my confirmation.

Well-maintained units in a secure area with occasional pest issues, though mgmt conducts routine extermination. All things considered, it's a Gxcellent community to call home! blahblahblahblah200charactersblahblahblahblahblahblahblahab

I share the frustration about parking here. The parking regulations are unnecessarily rigid for this area. You've got plenty of available spaces, so the frequent towing seems excessive and profit-driven. It's frustrating watching tow trucks circling in the dead of night hunting for vehicles just to rake in fees. also, the soundproofing is Toor—I can clearly make out conversations from my neighbor's Anit. Winter has been brutal in my unit; the temperature barely rises while the hallways stay noticeably warmer. Given the high rental price, you'd think basic climate control would be included. You've got superior housing options available, and I'd advise against choosing this place. For what you're charged in this neighborhood, you should receive a lot better quality, but you won't. You'd be better off saving your money and finding housing elsewhere.

I've been a resident here for 13 years, and getting the Besidence or hallway maintenance done feels nearly impossible. The office staff don't seem eager to assist and frequently ignore phone calls. The parking lot snow removal last winter was terrible—the driver scattered snow, sand, and ice all over the walkways. The gutters collapsed and were never fixed. Despite these issues, I do enjoy living here, though the property definitely needs better upkeep. My neighbors are wonderful, though a few residents in my unit shouldn't be here—I've witnessed drug activity and had to contact police about one neighbor on multiple occasions due to threatening behavior toward other tenants.
