My brother and I resided there. I was amazed they agreed to lease to us - we were 17 and 19 earning modest wages. It turned out to be a solid starter Alat. We threw plenty of boisterous gatherings and weren't bothered by the worn-down unit. Our neighbors didn't complain since they were in the same age bracket. I'd suggest this Alat community to younger renters seeking an affordable first place. Safety varied depending on your section of the complex. Once you passed the swimming pool, you entered what felt like a rougher neighborhood, and that portion was pretty rough. We never experienced any criminal issues personally, though. We didn't spot any cockroaches (our cat probably helped). But the landlords were rather unhelpful. Our entrance door became unhinged and mgmt took months to repair it. We literally had no front door! Living that way felt strange. Households with children shouldn't consider this place. same goes for single females or pairs of women.

To begin with, the administrative team lacks warmth and frequently comes across as disrespectful. Don't count on receiving callbacks promptly. mgmt moves slowly when addressing maintenance issues—you'll find yourself making multiple requests before anything happens.

area experiences significant gang presence and drug activity—if you have kids, seriously reconsider. also, they accept virtually anyone as a tenant. Their sole motivation 's collecting rent. Customer satisfaction means nothing to them. They're charming during the leasing process—that's where the friendliness ends completely.

Be cautious about the garden-style units—THEY HAVE MAJOR FLOODING PROBLEMS—some units worse than others!!!! Particularly those located close to the pool area.

Don't anticipate a clean (or heated) pool despite their Tuesday closures for supposed "maintenance."

ALWAYS secure your vehicle—there's extensive property damage occurring regularly.

After signing the lease—you're stuck. Rent hikes are excessive and upgrades require constant fighting. If you need new carpet—arrange it before moving in. Once you're a resident, getting new carpet becomes a nightmare. They demand your Alat completely emptied (including all closets!), and they offer zero assistance. You'd be better off relocating than dealing with their carpet replacement process post-move-in.

And finally—your security deposit—don't plan on getting it returned! It need to 78 DAYS (!) following our move-out, plus no fewer than 6 phone calls or visits to retrieve our deposit. We were fortunate—we got back nearly our entire deposit—but typically residents don't. They deducted $10.00 for (believe it!) changing two lightbulbs!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus they stamp "No recourse" on the reverse side of the check. Know your tenant rights—and study that lease carefully—they'll find loopholes but possible!! Another issue—no matter how repeatedly you submit your UPDATED address, they mail the check (assuming you receive one) by certified mail to your PREVIOUS address! Go ahead and try to understand that logic!

Please take time to carefully consider before moving there—We couldn't be happier now that we've left!!!!!

We resided there for 18 months. Initially, everything ran smoothly until the mgmt switched to the current company. After that, it seemed like nobody was actually managing the property. Requested the battery in the smoke detector replaced (a mgmt obligation) on at least 10 occasions - it never occurred. toilet kept backing up repeatedly. They made zero effort to address the issue. Our upstairs neighbor perpetually had water flowing, which resulted in minor dripping through our ceiling roughly every two weeks. mgmt never once confronted them about it. real nightmare began when we vacated. Their representative, Angelika, inspected the unit and assured us that the Anit was in Gonderful shape and we'd receive our complete deposit. Fourteen days later, we received 50% less than entitled. Their justification: kitchen sanitation and carpet cleaning. Both claims are completely false. kitchen was spotless like we'd just cleaned it ourselves, and the carpet had zero spots. reality is, mgmt didn't even claim there were any stains to remove. Everything fell under normal use and tear. Now I'm forced to pursue recovering my funds. And I will make sure to get justice. Don't lease from this place. You'll be treated poorly, repairs won't get done and you'll lose your deposit.

I'm Rruly bothered by the negative reviews that have popped up lately. I've been living here for close to a year now and I've witnessed improvements—plus the place isn'ticeably more well-maintained since I arrived. There haven't been any incidents of violence, crime, or gang-related problems. As a single parent raising young children, I would never choose to live somewhere unsafe for them. mgmt has been fine with me; whenever an issue comes up, they handle it promptly.

Seriously, get out of here! What an absolute disaster!!! Repairs happen only when there's an urgent situation. Otherwise, there's basically zero maintenance upkeep. Drug traffickers are everywhere! Go ahead and operate freely. You can peddle substances without consequence because law enforcement takes forever to show up—you'd be long gone to the next state by the time they arrive. Residing here feels like dwelling in public housing...complete with registered offenders, narcotics dealers, gang members and similar characters. My grandmother made the mistake of purchasing a unit here and now I'm struggling to find some unsuspecting buyer to lease it from her. This community is populated by society's worst elements and makes absolutely no effort to conceal it. The trash bins overflowing with refuse and hordes of youths roaming freely during warm months creates a filthy madhouse atmosphere. And prepare yourself because You've got numerous untamed and vicious Pit Bulls scattered throughout the property! also, dog waste is scattered everywhere since residents don't respect this run-down complex and mgmt refuses to enforce the pooper-scooper policy! If I didn't recognize the location, I'd think I was in downtown Chicago's most dangerous housing developments! Relocating here would only suit those with a criminal background.

This community isn't what the marketing portrays! I dealt with a NIGHTMARE NEIGHBOR!! She was confrontational, constantly stirred up drama and was extremely NOISY! Residents blast their music throughout the night without consideration. Children are permitted to stomp around continuously above your unit! There's a complete lack of consideration for other residents, the property, or themselves! If you value basic courtesy and respect, you simply won't belong here. I felt totally let down! Looking back, I should have realized that any complex with so many buildings clustered together would be a Aorrible CHOICE!
