Overall, I'm satisfied with my experience at Aspire. I mainly chose it for the location, which was convenient for me as a UChicago student who also spend a lot of time in the loop/west loop/river north. The price point is accessible, though I think that is why the quality of things like cabinet fixtures, flooring, lighting (very limited overhead lighting) leaves some things to be desired. It also took multiple months to get a working washer/dryer. Nonetheless, other maintenance requests were handled very well and in a timely manner.

Conveniently located next to the green line, you will never escape the smell of the green line because so many people smoke in the building and management does almost nothing. They'll offer to let you move to another unit, but there is not promise that you won't be going somewhere else with even more indoor smoking. It's a fairly safe neighborhood, the food is incredible in the area, and the rent is reasonable enough, as it should be because the building looks unfinished, call it a style, painted plywood on the ceiling in the halls is unfinished. The maintenance team is excellent though. Overall, unless you like the constant smell of smoke indoors, you're probably going to hate it here.

Move was smooth, there were a few issues with lights not working and scratches on wood storage surfaces (I was assured that any issue would be fixed). Everyone was helpful in my move other than that.!
