I'm thrilled with my place at 2101. The bus and train stops are right at our doorstep, the door attendants are incredibly welcoming, and the office team is fantastic—seriously, I can't praise them enough! The rent is reasonable, the units are well-appointed, the brand new laundry facilities are fantastic!!!!!, the corridors look fresh, and they're actively redoing the common areas. They're constantly improving and enhancing the property. I'm entering my third year as a resident and have no plans on leaving!

Not Worth It

The neighborhood is great, but the residents are problematic, elevators reek and look run-down, and common areas have unpleasant odors. The landlord only schedules maintenance staff to clean when supervisors are coming by for inspections. The parking structure has a concerning low ceiling and poor condition. Kitchens and bathrooms are outdated and require renovation. The whole property desperately needs a complete overhaul!!!

The number 1 thing I love living here is the building is smokefree. The staffs are very professional and friendly. The residents here are very friendly, respectful and mindful of their neighbors. You can expect to be greeted with a warm and friendly smile by residents and staff.

---------------------------. She is very disrespectful & a racist. One lady told me ---- gave her an eviction notice because she smells. Mind you this building is 95 percent ----------------- & she is --------. She walks around the building smelling people doors to try to catch someone smoking. Also she rents apartments out for herself so she can spy on people. --- the regional manager also is in cahoots With her. All they do is go out partying and come in drunk as a skunk . Please avoid this building by any means.

I love living at 2101. Bus lines and train stations are literally outside the front door, doorstaff is so friendly, office staff is amazing, cannot say enough good things! Affordable rent, upgraded apartments, new laundry room and machines!!!!!, new hallways, renovating the amenity spaces. ALWAYS upgrading things and making it better. Going on my third year and plan in staying!

Ive been living in this building for over 15 years. The management has changed so much that its hard to keep up. I will say the renovations have turned this building completely around. I plan on staying if they don't keep raising the rent. Front desk staff is ok but I liked the old staff better. The office Ladies are nice but slow on getting back to me. The janitors are all very nice and extremely helpful. Shaun the engineer is always fixing old problems and is always there when I need him. Hope he sees this because I want him to meet my Granddaughter. They want me to move to California but I will be staying here.

After a complete revamp and renovations in these apartments, I am always surprised at what a AMAZING place this has been especially when you factor how rent is not overpriced and very fair. For the past year since July 2015, I've lived in these apartments (1 bed room-1 bath) and I am very sad that I am leaving it. This place had excellent management and feels like a sense of community. My neighbors are all family friendly and everyone says hi to each other and helps out. The management is amazing. My problems with any apartment whether it is a light bulb to changing an AC filter, gets fixed within 12 hours or less. All the appliances are stainless steel with marble counter tops. The floor is heated so there is no annoying "hot air" coming from vents that would make you feel overheated. The AC units are powerful and make this place cool in the summer. Everything about this place is a bigger bang for your buck including parking which is far less than any other parking out there. Oh, and I had ZERO problems with any bed bugs which is notorious in Chicago. The best part is, this place is SAFE. There is a 24 hour doorman that are professional, keep your packages in a mailroom, and nobody can just sneak in and out like with other apartments. I love 2101 and never had a problem with it other than how there was a wait list to get into this place and I am sure glad I did. THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING YEAR.

This building is infested with bed bugs!!!! I moved in last month and purchased a brand new mattress, box spring, couch, and furniture. A couple of days ago they had inspectors come in to check for bed bugs. My mattress was completely infested after living here for only a month! couches are also infested to the point where when you sit down they crawl on you even when the lights are on. I did not read any reviews of the building before i moved in which i now regret considering i just signed a 1 year lease... After speaking to some of the other tenants it is clear that this is a building wide infestation. Management did not warn me at all when I moved in which is very unethical. DO NOT LIVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT BED BUGS.

First couple of months here so far so good its just starting for a couple of week now that the smell of the weed makes my children having a headache and lightheaded. Almost everyday especially during at night.PAGING: MANAGEMENT PLS HELP!

Not to bad for the prices, Its just gettin worse the smells of the MARIJUANA every night and day...Just want to finish the contract I will get out in this place. If you got children this place is not recommended or else they will be exposed to early..If you want a free smells of WEED this place suits you.. PAGING MANAGEMENT: We're gettin' high day and night...
