This community lacks a sense of togetherness. I haven't met a single neighbor and no one has offered to introduce themselves to me. Seems like the only thing That's shared among neighbors Ippears their discontent about their apartments.

Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I really appreciate being notified when a package is delivered. If There's ever an issue with something in the Bomplex the mgmt makes sure to communicate with residents.

The unit was well-maintained when I arrived, and the move-in went fairly smoothly. but, I'm quite frustrated with how poorly the sales and office staff communicated. I found myself making far too many calls just to reach someone. The sales department, concierge, and front desk were consistently slow to return emails and answer phones.

I stayed at this village green apartment and it's absolutely terrible. extremely high electric & gas costs (nothing environmentally friendly about this supposed green building aside from the actual greenery) the phony rooftop area that mgmt doesn't let you actually enjoy. it only has a single BBQ that doesn't function. pool you CAN'T access fireplaces that are always broken. outdoor entertainment space like viewing films never functions. mgmt are liars who will promise anything to get your signature on a contract. lone computer in the business office that's never available. the One receptionist has a superiority problem and refers to residents as entitled spoiled brats. They'll even contact police if your guests don't match their expectations. Someone mentioned that close to 10 police arrived because a couple guests were in a shared space having beers on a saturday. Lifts are constantly malfunctioning. There's zero security whatsoever. Units get robbed regularly Homeless individuals break into your vehicles in the lot and even ask you for money outside the entrance. mgmt office 's a complete disaster. absolute worst downtown building I've ever lived in.

Affordable rent, but Toor customer service. Staff members never return calls. It takes forever to get maintenance out to fix anything. The employees like Cory, John, Robert, Drew, the lobby cleaning lady (whose name escapes me), and the night concierge are all genuinely Nelightful and helpful people though.

When I moved in, the unit wasn't ready—no cleaning or fresh paint. The faucets are loose and coming apart, pantry shelves are gone, they quoted me the wrong parking rate, and the bathtub has serious drainage problems. The mgmt team appears unconcerned and keeps pointing fingers at previous tenants for all the problems. This place is a complete disaster from top to bottom. A week after signing my lease, not one of these issues has been addressed. I'd recommend looking elsewhere—this is a real headache!

I relocated here from River North 3 months back, and I definitely looked through the reviews on this site before committing to anything. Like most things in life, you'll find both positives and negatives. In my opinion, many of the negative reviews stem from factors unrelated to the building itself. I've genuinely enjoyed my experience here so far. The units are distinctive compared to other places I toured, and I checked out plenty before making my choice. I appreciate that there's minimal carpeting, the storage is spacious, and the roof deck is awesome, though the weather hasn't permitted me to take full advantage of it since I've been here. location-wise, it's easy to transit hubs, making it simple to navigate the city without needing a car or rideshares. The staff members throughout the property have consistently been courteous toward me. For anyone reviewing this site, try not to get too caught up in all the complaints you see here—I genuinely think this is a solid place and wouldn't hesitate to suggest it to anyone I know.

SEE UPDATE BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!<br><br>12/05<br>I've been residing at MDA for nearly 2 months and I'm absolutely thrilled. I relocated to Chicago from another state and invested much of the past year searching for an ideal Anit in the heart of downtown. I have particular standards for my living situation. The unit needed an in-Anit washer and dryer, disposal, ice maker, central heating and cooling, a spacious bedroom, and proximity to a major transit line. MDA offered all of this and beyond. The experience is like staying at an upscale hotel. Rather than having a traditional doorman, they employ a concierge service prepared to handle any request, from theater reservations to restaurant bookings. The building features an in-house cinema where residents can bring their own films to watch whenever they choose, plus a fitness center and office facilities. A parking garage is available on-site, though the proximity to transit makes it less necessary. Located just 150 feet from the el, 1 block from the red line, and 2 blocks from the blue line. Coming from out of state, I was amazed to learn some Chicago buildings don't let tenants control their own heat and cooling independently. This place does—there's a programmable digital thermostat you manage completely, so you pick when climate control activates. also, hot water is limitless, and remarkably, my electricity last month was just 38 dollars despite running heat constantly. The mgmt team demonstrates perfect service; I rarely need to contact them since nothing has needed addressing, yet whenever I visit the office they offer refreshments and ask "How can we make your experience better?"<br><br>Naturally, it's not flawless. This is a restored historic structure that had no prior residential use. Construction remains ongoing since this place is still getting finished. With few residents currently occupying units, it has an eerie, tranquil feeling that will likely change as more people move in.<br><br>I'd recommend anyone with exacting standards and particular needs take a serious look at this property. The monthly rate is above typical, but worth every penny considering the amenities and services offered. I need to leave now—there's an exclusive vineyard tasting happening in my lobby at 5pm.<br><br>UPDATE!!!!!!<br>07/06<br>AFTER ALMOST 10 MONTHS HERE, I MAINTAIN EVERYTHING FROM MY EARLIER REVIEW. THIS REMAINS A FANTASTIC BUILDING WITH great EVENTS. BUT HERE'S THE PROBLEM.....YOUNG COLLEGE PEOPLE ARE GRADUALLY TAKING OVER THE SPACE. OUR STUNNING ROOFTOP DECK IS CONSTANTLY PACKED WITH 19-YEAR-OLDS CONSUMING CHEAP BEER AND TOSSING CIGARETTE BUTTS OFF THE EDGE. IT REMINDS ME OF FRESHMAN YEAR IN THE DORMS WHENEVER I HEAD UP THERE. ROWDY INTOXICATED BEHAVIOR FILLS THE LOBBY AND ELEVATORS WELL PAST 11PM ON WEEKNIGHTS. mgmt REALLY NEEDS TO IMPLEMENT STRICTER RULES OR THIS BUILDING WILL LOSE WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL!!

The MDA community has been wonderful, with genuinely kind staff members who treat residents with courtesy and consideration. Maintenance issues are addressed promptly whenever they arise. My only complaint would be that front desk personnel could be more available to answer calls directly—I'd prefer speaking to someone rather than getting routed through an automated answering system?

It's a pleasant Penue to call home. location-wise, it's easy, and the units offer solid value relative to the rental cost. The facilities are Nleasant as well. My main concern is that the plumbing is quite aged, so I choose not to drink tap water from the faucet.
