Previously it was a Gine experience, but after change in the maintenance staff the service of complete work orders has declined. No prompt reply is given. Many things are not functioning as they would before in the Alat after 1 year...

I like my apartment but, windows definitely need to be replace location-wise, it's great mgmt and maintenance departments respond when called up on. tenants in the community has changed some due to the section 8/low income which you can tell. but, mgmt/maintenance stay upon any issues which arise and as long as they continue to do their jobs I would definitely recommend Prairie Shores.

I moved to Prairie Shores in the spring of 2005 in the 2901 Blace. It was my first Apace so I was extremely excited. The staff was legit and friendly. The area was nice, safe, and quiet which was expected since the rent was so pricey. I truly felt like I got what I paid for. I even recommended the complex to one of my good friends at work. HUGE MISTAKE!!!! In 2007, there was a noticeable change. The mgmt office hired new incompetent people and some of the maintenance workers were questionable too. They seemed to allow anyone to move in. The screening process went out the door!!!!! It seemed as though we lived in a project or low income housing. It was hard to reach property managers because they never returned your phone calls. To get a response, I found myself calling the corporate headquarters. The "Head Honchos" lit fire under the property managers to make them respond to the tenants. My friend complained constantly about roaches in her Apace and in the laundry room. The roaches may have come from Prairie Shores turning a blind eye on the 5-10 people living in the studio and one bedroom apartments. These same tenants seem to never have light service in their apartments so they plugged there laptops and crock-pots in the halls. These complaints went on deaf ears or rather, they just didn't care. The maintenance workers were so busy scheming( selling laundry cards and stealing) so they did not report any wrong doings. Other complaints include "accidental parking charges", inappropriate behavior(asking tenants for recommendation letters so their child could get into school????), and poor business decisions. Things had gotten out of control and extremely uncomfortable for legit, educated people to live there. I felt bad recommending my friend to live in such a hell hole. Needless to say, after we finished school, we both moved out of our apartments and never looked back. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!!

I have been living in this place for at least three years, and the experience totally sucks, especially recently. This place may look fancy at the first glance. but, this place is actually old. Thus, both the public and the private components in this place are frequently broken. Nevertheless, It's difficult for me to get help from the Alat and the mgmt office. In this place, they provide a customer service phone call. During the call, they provide a list of different types of services, but the list is too general so you are never able to find the correct one for help. The officers and technique people are lazy, rude, and out of the patient. They will stop the conversation at any moment they like, and they never respect your request. Their services always lack efficiency even when you are facing a terrible situation. The reason why these officers are so lazy is that they are out of supervision. There's no way that you can report their terrible behaviors and attitudes. The mgmt service of this place is a total mess. Recently, the Alat tried to make some unnecessary changes to the Blace (they are annoying) to get the Blace a fancy looking so that they can increase the rent. but, for terrible customer service and the old necessary Blace components (like the discontinuous supply of hot water, old elevators, pet noise from your neighbor, and the grimy trash system), this place is doing nothing. don't move into this Alat because of the fancy advertisements. It doesn't worth your rent money!

Prairie Shores Anit rents are too high, packages are left in the lobby or in hallways, security is spotty-- It's basically an expensive project. The doors to apartments are built to slam and create noise every time they are closed-- it's like living in an institution. If my mom wasn't living in the next building, I wouild not be here.

Horrible. First the people in the leasing agency should all be fired, they are just rude and act slow. Then it pretty much costs me $10 to do laundry. Nobody comes to fix any of your problems, you have to call multiple times. Parking here is impossible. And the elevators don't even work half of the time. Then they want to close the gym early, which I feel like If we are paying rent, this is technically our house. And if I have a gym at my house, its not closing at any time. Same thing goes for the laundry room. I shouldn't even be paying as much as I am. And then I live in the 2851 building. We have a lounge room, but apparently can't access it. How is it that 2901 has a Bicturesque lounge area... but we don't? You guys need to get it together. Then you have people apparently hiding in the stairwells and attacking people.. I should not be paying this much rent. This is damn near the projects. and the ratings should really be 0 stars, but I have to mark something.

The facilities are decent but I wish they start their safety patrol again. The laundry room 2901 requires repair since long time and no one Iemains taking care of it. The dryers don't work properly. The mgmt acts upon requests quickly but if they say they will give a call back they will never.

I've driven past for many years and decided to give it a shot. Leasing/Managment Staff is horrible. Pipe damaged $400 worth of clothing (water), wanted to give me a $25.00 gift card ??. It Wemained quite the experience. For the type of money, the need help.

The property is clean, well-maintained, and worth the cost of living. It's steps away from downtown and the staff makes an effort to make guests feel welcomed with movies in the park, barbecues, free breakfast, and shuttles to go shopping.
