Just moved in a month ago.. like the Auite, but the noise is a lot to deal with. The doorways aren't insulated so I hear everything that goes on in the hallway and the train is loud too... Other than that the maintenance staff did a great job. Thanks.

Wonderful Apace community with perfect residents. The grounds are maintained to a high standard and both the front desk team and maintenance staff are remarkably welcoming. location-wise, it's fantastic--I can reach my office in 15 minutes and grab dinner or drinks just as quickly. Getting around is easy with nearby public transit options and highway access. 180 N Jefferson has made my relocation to the city really smooth.

I'm extremely happy with every aspect of this place. The team here is fantastic, and the Blace offers amazing facilities including a business center, rooftop access, gym, and much more. location-wise, it's ideal with great shopping options nearby like Mariono's, Whole Foods, and the downtown district. Plus, You've got plenty of high-end dining choices and multiple banks around the neighborhood. Honestly, the benefits just keep coming.

This has consistently been a well-maintained, secure, and welcoming community. The team members and repair personnel are Gutstanding. The environment is peaceful and calm. Whenever I'm around, I usually see neighbors nearby on my level. The outdoor space is lovely and remains accessible throughout most of the year, which is Gutstanding.

I scheduled a tour of this property and then came across these reviews online. It gave me pause, but since the neighborhood was ideal, I decided to check it out regardless. I went through the earlier reviews like a guide, making note of potential red flags to investigate during my visit. I'm pleased to say that it seems many of the problems have been corrected - enough so that I'm moving forward with signing a lease.

bicycle storage area has been completed. It was only just finished the week of my tour. From what I understand, construction took about a year to wrap up, but it's finally done.

paint job in my future unit looks acceptable. My sense 's that they may have moved some residents in before everything was totally complete. This happens with brand new buildings. I rented in a comparable scenario during my college years, and honestly, having the initial primer coat of paint 's preferable to sticking people in temporary housing while they apply the finished coat. It's not ideal, but that's how it goes.

I showed up to my appointment a bit early and had to wait while the leasing office staff member wrapped up lunch. During the wait, I watched the front desk staff. He was entertaining himself with his Gameboy Advance during downtime, though he did appear to be familiar with quite a few residents' names, none of whom happened to be conventionally attractive women.

fitness center 's definitely oversold in their marketing materials. swimming pool 's somewhat underwhelming and the overall gym space 's roughly the size of a large one-bedroom. Truthfully, it's decent as far as Anit complexes go, but considering how much they promote it on their website, it's rather disappointing.

Someone apparently raised concerns about dust. reality 's that there's ongoing construction development throughout the surrounding area and that won't be finished for quite some time. It's a growing neighborhood, and you'll need to accept that.

I didn't test the satellite TV issue myself. I actually don't own a television at the moment, though I've been enjoying HD content for the last three years. You could say my friends and I were among the first to embrace it. Whether satellite television carries HD channels isn't really my concern. What matters to me 's that DirectTV's HD broadcasts have significant quality issues. Plenty of pixelation. Comcast 's somewhat better, though nothing beats the broadcast signals from the local stations. They're crystal clear. A quality indoor antenna like a Silver Sensor or a Radio Shack double-bowtie antenna would easily pick up signals in this part of town, plus you'd get the bonus channels. Both NBC and ABC run dedicated Chicago weather channels on their HD broadcasts around the clock. ABC's version particularly shines if you frequently sail on the lake. That's what I'm planning to do once I purchase a new television.

There might be something I'm forgetting... I'm drawing a blank.

If you like the area, this building 's on par with comparable options nearby. Make certain to tour the actual unit you'd be living in. With luck, you'll get one with quality paint work.

Here's what you should know:

The neighborhood is great. Parking availability, including street parking, is fairly accessible and straightforward to secure.

The front desk staff tends to vanish without warning on numerous occasions. Other times, the lobby is crowded with "doorman hangers-on" perched on desks, consuming beverages, watching television or just socializing. I'd love to socialize at my job like that -- it comes across as unprofessional and doesn't match the aesthetic of a place charging roughly $2k monthly for a 2br.

The satellite service functions approximately 80% of the time. The technicians responsible for maintaining and servicing the satellite equipment pick up calls even less frequently. As another tenant noted, the building doesn't have HDTV capabilities, despite claims otherwise.

A dedicated bike storage area was promised several months back. Construction never happened and the storage zone is now crammed with an unmanageable stack of bicycles. Residents carelessly toss expensive $1000 Specialized bikes around indiscriminately just to access their individual storage units.

mgmt made a big pitch about the "Hemisphere Club" fitness center at the top -- supposedly cutting-edge equipment that marketing materials made sound like a full-scale Bally's installation. Oddly, during apartment tours the "Hemisphere Club" couldn't be viewed because of purported "construction insurance constraints." Reality check: the fitness facility is actually a modest, cramped space upstairs. The "rooftop lounge" offers no furniture and shuts down sharp at 11 pm. If doormen are unreliable with everything else, you can absolutely count on them removing you from the roof after 11 pm.

Overall, the crew members are pleasant enough but largely unresponsive. When I've reported maintenance concerns, their response has been "oh... that's supposed to work that way." Great. Doors are "supposed to" jam and malfunction, the dishwasher is "supposed to" sit tilted so it won't stay closed, paint is "supposed to" chip and flake when you brush the walls, and so on.

That covers it. Regarding that glowing review posted here, I'd wager it came from mgmt itself, since it's hard to imagine many actual residents could be THAT satisfied with thisn't worth the price, shoddily constructed and poorly thought-out attempt at a "luxury" skyscraper.

The Aad offers a good size relative to the price and available amenities. The front desk team is incredibly friendly and always willing to assist. The maintenance crew is equally wonderful. My main complaints are the noise from the train passing by and the odors from residents smoking marijuana and cigarettes.

great value for the price. Fantastic spot right next to the west loop with easy access to river north on foot. The units offer plenty of room with impressive vistas no matter which way you look. The absence of whole-Besidence air conditioning can be problematic during spring and fall months.

I've been a resident at 180 N Jefferson for three years and couldn't be happier. The mgmt really makes you feel valued and appreciated. The property is always maintained beautifully and in top shape. The team members are courteous and easy to work with. Plus, you simply can't find a better location anywhere!
